Project SR-71: A Stealth R1 Build

It was made custom by a local guy for his own project, but he gave up and I ended up buying the two sides for about $40. I used all the bracing rods and skidplate and electronics trays from the Stealth chassis so everything fits up nicely. I need to take some more pics now that it has all the electronics reinstalled and I'm running batteries on both axles now as the 2x Hitec servos and a 27t motor EAT an 850mah 3s in 10-15mins.

It's been a while, but this is what my R1 is looking like as of today. Custom carbon fibre chassis from a local guy with links modified to suit the new 335mm wheelbase, a pair of the new Savox 20kg waterproof servos, a set of Traxxas Big Bore shocks and a 27t motor. In these pics it's mechanically complete, I just need to work out the electronics mounts and wire it back up.

Wow that looks pretty darn good, what made you get rid of the stealth chassis?

This rig has been sold to a new owner, but I moved away from the Stealth chassis due to there being way too much weight up way too high. Laying the shocks down helped a lot too.
