TBuggy's GSpeed build

Beautiful job on the build TBuggy. You really did a bang-up job modifying and fitting the body to top it all off. It’s sitting just perfectly on there

Thanx! I have an interior all built up for this rig now too. I had to do some modifying to the RC4WD interior since the 2.low has the spur sitting a little too high under the seat. But IMO that was a great place for it to be hitting cause I was able to cut out the access needed and then fabricate a center console to conceal it. Still painting things up atm.

Also ended up having an issue with the 3Brother winch that I had installed and after talking with them I was able to return it and a new one was sent out. I have not installed it back quite yet. During the time of removing the winch I have decided to do a little re-arranging of the electronics to help with balance. I need to get some more break line now that I am changing the position of a few things.

I will post up some more pictures soon.

I'm really liking how this build is looking! Great job so far!"thumbsup"

Body turned out great and love the scale dents!:)

Also like how you decided to go with the CMS servo.

I'm now in the process of building a similar rig. Last weekend I decided to rob the axles off of my Capra and build a V3 G10 with my spare 2.Low trans I picked up a couple months ago. Should have a build thread up soon!

Got the interior installed.

Due to using the 2.low transmission the spur was a little taller than the interior allowed. Luckily it was right in the middle of the seat so I built a center console to hide the spur. I think it turned out pretty good for never making anything out of styrene before. LOL.

I am in the process of making another roof rack like I did for my C1 rig as well as outfitting it with some accessories. Slow work in progress but I have been having a blast driving it how it is!

Nice work on the center console! Looks like it belongs there. I think it's a much better look than the full bench seat.

Good looking rig man, I went with a Revolver V2 2200kv and Mamba Micro X and am having issues with the ESC getting hot. Have you ran yours much? Had any heat issues with them? My motor is even getting warm and I am wondering if something is up with the motor because I did buy it used.

If it's a full-size Revolver, everything is getting hot because Holmes doesn't recommend using that combo - Snub-nose Revolvers are the max.

Here's the quoted specs:

"For 1/10 scale vehicles: Only the Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro BL 540 Stubby 2200kv, Stubby 2700kv, and Revolver Snubnose motors are recommended for use with this ESC. Larger or higher KV motors are not recommended."

I do run the full size revolver and I haven't really noticed the motor getting too hot but the ESC does get warmer than I thought it would, nothing I have been worried about though. Both my servo and winch are direct powered so the ESC is only powering the motor. I also run 1/10 4wd and 1/8 scale buggies and in comparison this thing runs pretty cool.

With this rig I would say my average run time is about 10-15mins. I don't run back to back batteries so if I plan on more run time I switch to a different rig for a pack and then switch back.

I didn't see anywhere on Holmes hobbies website about the above recommendations but so far so good for me. I have two rigs with this combo so time will tell.

Updating a couple of my threads since it's been so long. This rig has seen some changes since its original form for sure.

This rig is now running

SSD diamond front axle w/ SSD brass knuckles and Samix aluminum C-hubs
SCX10 iii portal axles in rear
Creeper-t (flipped)
Yellow Jacket 2000k
SVH500.
3 link set up with InTheWorksRC links (mixed from a few different sets).

Wiring is still not completely tied down not sure if I am leaving it in this configuration for good or not. So far it seems to work out fine, probably not as balanced as I would like but haven't really had an issue with that yet either.

Also painted up another body, this time a cab only. I think it turned out pretty good. The main part I was proud of was being able to keep the hood lines while still pinching the front end. I wanted to keep that look so it looks like the hood is a separate piece still.
