Pics of your latest purchase

I think my RC addiction is back. Today I got my Kyosho Dirt Master kit. I’ve had my eye on this one since it was announced. I love old school buggies and this body is just perfect to me.

Bought this Traxxas 4-Tec Drift Mustang on Monday. The shitty color reproduction on the iPhone (I have a 15) doesn't do this copper metallic / orange color any justice. It's beautiful in person!

7 and we adopted a duck from a neighbor down the road. She was the last one she had and she was being lonely and noisy so she brang her down to be with ours. Then these 12 lil shits. and boy do they.lmao
And ya, they are are in and out of the waterdish so water is ofcourse all over, thus the pool. lmao

I did get a Robinson Racing Slash 4x4 slipper setup and got it installed on the Ulitmate, but need to drop the pinion a little bit, she getting hot atm. Also got it a Reefs 400SC, but not installed yet. may keep it in the pit box.

Bit on NSDRC's pre-order email and bought this. This will be perfect for my Tundra (thread needs updating badly), which needs this extra torque for it's weight at roughly 10lbs with big battery.

Xt90 connectors for my tracked platform, some proline 2.2/3.0 wheels for the H1, and while digging through the clearance bin, I found a set of NIP 2.2 sand paw tires for a mere $10 and had to snatch them.

That's interesting they only got red and black because one of the LHS around here only got the blue versions. Red and black used to be my favorite combo until orange stole my heart and it looks sick on this truck. I am with you though and prefer the blue version for some reason. But again, yours looks awesome. Interested to hear your review. I don't have much love for Arrma and that army of fanbois, but this truck has me interested...

Got a new body. Now I need to figure out what to build under it.

Sugga Body. A mid 30s Volvo Matt from SBG had done in 3D Printing, then done in this CF. then decided to do a small batch run with the guy that made it for him. I was in group #5 to get mine.

I am on a utility knife kick lately and the Gerber Prybrid in burnt orange went on sale. Looks like they may be discontinuing them. But I had to pick one up.

I lost my olive colored one, 😔 aboit a year ago.

Timmahh, where did you get that body, and are there other kinds?

Oh, i bought these wheels and tires.

I'm a couple days behind.

LDRC 1/18 Drift RX-7 - because I got the drift itch right now, it is cheap and small enough for indoors.

Second and third "images" are videos. Imgur does a terrible job of making that readily apparent.

Cool pop-up headlights! 😁

Drifting attempt with performance anxiety in front of the camera. You can see the integrated gyro hunting.

Parts for the above LDRC RX-7. As you can see in the video, the integrated gyro hunts quite a bit. I was better at drifting after a full battery charge and moving furniture in my living room for a slightly larger area, but had nobody there to film it and my temporary camera stand wasn't covering much area. A Dasmikro gyro is recommended as an upgrade since you can disable the internal gyro in the car. In the photo below you can see it next to an OTC Omeprazole pill. Tiny! I also got upgraded tires and the steering mod for more steering throw although I don't know that it is needed. Unfortunately, I did not realize the gyro does not come with all of the appropriate connectors for this car so I wait again and will drift on the stock gyro for now.

Most of the second round of upgrades arrived for my Fordyce. Underdrive ring and pinion, motor washers, screws compatible with these washers, aluminum transmission standoffs, spool for the underdrive ring gear, and aluminum motor plate.

MIP Gen 2 2.5mm hex driver because my Gen 1 seemed to have walked away. Gen 2 is definitely nicer than Gen 1, but I think they could have done better. I'd like to see the size on the handle, a larger color indicator, and get rid of that black oxide part that is susceptible to rust.

Have you thought of polishing the black part, then using gun blue?

Nope! That's effort I most likely wouldn't put into a tool. I just wish it was chrome plated or something more corrosion-resistant.

I updated my post on the body.

Sniper is correct. Mat at SBG had them one off'd in small batches and I was fortunate enough to get one.
No other options, just this Sugga.
I may build it over a set of Ryft Axles. Matt thinks it will look ugly and be totally inappropriate. That makes me want to do it all that much more.lmao

Do it! Piss off the scale nerd(s)!

Nothing fancy. Just bought some 100 and 120mm disc brake rotors to try out on the "utility cart" front wheels. I still have some work to do on the wheels, like narrowing them by 20mm on the backside, and recessing the front bearing pocket by 19mm. Also needed some decent bullet plugs for all the high current motor connections.

I bought a JBL Click on clearance for $15 shipped. My intention is to put this on the handlebar of my Harley and it will allow me to control the music playing through my AirPods Pros or Smart HJC 20B/Sena communicator. Right now I am not running my phone on the handlebar ever since my Ram mount failed and my old phone went flying at about 70 MPH. Currently, I try to control the music on my Apple Watch at stops, but that is really cumbersome trying to click the tiny icons with touch-sensitive motorcycle gloves. The Click should allow me to control the music with a few button pushes or turning the knob.

Then I finally got the Castle motor end to continue transplanting it into my Fordyce.

New tires for the wraith. These are replacing the axial treps. Kinda funny since I'm doing the same change on my 1:1. I also grabbed a set of the lightweight front gears for one of my vfd transmissions to make the free shipping threshold at amain.

I had forgotten what a pain the beads on proline tires are to mount. Axial, jconcepts, and vp tires are super easy by comparison.
