Isn’t that the point?

Anyways I don’t have pics for everything but I recently got a bunch of parts for 2 sets of vp axles, including a black d44 rear axle. Then realized I forgot bearings, so I had to get them coming, along with leaf spring mounts and wheel nuts.

Also a creality lizard 3d scanner because a conversion wasn’t very thick along with a bunch of 3d printer upgrades to print said conversion.

On another build I realized I forgot to pick up a front body mount, which just came in as well.

I can't really afford to do vintage Tamiya or Kyosho restorations anymore, covid BS has pretty much destroyed that, so I'm going a bit newer.... $75 find.. all original 1999 vintage, everything works including the OG AM radio. Just missing a body.

Before crawling and scale trucks took over my RC life, I was big into the nitro scene...there were some very cool vehicles back in the early 2000's. I picked up my T-maxx back in 1999 when it was introduced, and it was my go-to vehicle for years. I raced, bashed, jumped, and modded pretty much every part on it. Good times. I still have most of my OG parts, so the plan is to restore this one back to new using some parts I have and see if I can remember how to tune a nitro engine. maybe add some hop ups along the way - they are plentiful and cheap. It's a whole different world than working on scale trucks. I've burned out a bit on my crawlers, haven't been out since early spring and haven't built anything new in a while - the cure for burnout is to do something different!

On a side note, I got excited and ordered a second roller to convert over to electric as some sort of crawler/basher. And my 1/5 Emaxx crawler is finally getting some love. My workshop looks like a Traxxas factory at the moment.

This will be rig #13. Wasn't supposed to buy another kit of any sort quite yet, but the deal caught my eye.

Random note, it feels like I'm not gonna be able to catch up on completing builds when it comes to buying kits. Let's say I finish a build... Oh look, another kit I don't have is on sale. Or even if I don't finish a build, oh man look at that deal!! Haha rant over...

NWSD Vulture C3 Chassis kit. This is gonna get radical. Corwin even stamped my rcc name on the rails.

Jealous you got yours already! Mine will be here Saturday.

Welcome to my world!:lmao: I have many builds that keep getting paused cause of weakness and buying new kits I don't need!:ror:

That looks sick! Cool that you got your name on it! Can't wait to see more of it!

Well I went to the LHS looking for a spare motor/esc.... left with 2 of each of those and the 10.3 JKU kit cause it was on sale. I need to finish my about 3 other builds before I should have bought this, pray the wife doesn't find out. :ror:

picked up the brushless Kyosho Charger VE on the left. I need another 274mm touring car body for my Hazzard County Sheriff's car build, so the Fazer is the perfect option. I'll swap the General Lee stuff over to the brushless chassis and use the brushed one for the police car. I also grabbed a set of black & white General Lee decals for the gray body, because why not.

Indy, I feel like there's gonna be some new builds of these on here soon lol.

Im sure of that goro. Definantly glad i grabbed a couple. My son will be stoked to build his first kit

Well, when your arm is already twisted half way after seeing the kit on the step, it wasnt goina take much :lmao:

The latest couple packages I received were a reman Holmes hobbies 500lp servo at $100 was too good to pass up.

Then I decided to roll the dice on Vanquish wheels of fortune.. with my luck I figured I’d get something orange. I’d settled on some clear 101’s for my next project and have been wanting some blue delta ifr rings for a while.. but figured what the hell.. and what shows up!? Clear 101’s with blue ifr’s. Also some clear .475 hubs and a pair of brake weights. Vanquish.. if you were reading the conversation between twade984 and myself.. I appreciate it haha! Not bad for $125
I also snagged the machined vfd twin gear set for future use.

Man Indy, earlier this year or late last year I got a set of blue 105’s with clear rings from asap hobbies for $100. It’s a great looking combo especially with some black scale hardware

Love me some machetes... Already traded the rings with someone for some red delta IFR inner rings, though. Definitely happy with the Wheel of Fortune box!
