Couldn’t pass up a 10.3 gladiator for $423.99! Been wanting one for a while… I ordered it on Aliexpress because the platform is really safe and very comfortable to use. Here are some more details on safety points on the Altools blog.

Finally...after months...the RAV4 has "new shoes" - KMC Bully wheels (made for Toyota, complete with 'X-Series' center caps), and 245/70R17 Pirelli Scorpion AT tires.

Thanks. Considering the 'input' from others in the forum, guess you could say the decision on what to get was a "group effort".

This isn't for any of my crawlers, my race vehicles, of my bashers...but, these RC parts DO have me SUPER-excited. The latest product from Kimberly Sanches, aka BasherQueen, is machined bulkheads for Arrma 6S vehicles...which includes the Limitless (V1 & V1), of which I'm in the process of building one into a speedrun car (shortest-term goal - to break 100mph, longest -term goal - to break 175mph, 'fantasy' goal - to break 200mph (others have done it, with the current record being approx 205-210mph)). Only 40 units were produced did the first run, and they sold out in less than a couple hours (next run available for purchase sometime next month).

As I said, SUPER-excited.

After 10 months of waiting.
My one Shelf Queen RC
Kyosho Fazer Mk2 FZ02 RTR with Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R.

^^^ That is truly the best RTR on-road R/C I have ever seen. The only thing that would make it better would be if they had managed hidden body mounts! ^^^

(well, and if we're being picky - lighter tint on the windows and an interior...)

I'm jealous, but then again I only ran my 4-tec 2.0 twice, and I guess the days of fast R/C vehicles are behind me.

I know what ya mean.

I have a 4-tec too that I've only ran. once-ish.

Red GT40, my first box queen. :D

I surely didn't need another Kyosho Fazer and especially a shelf queen.
But Come Man, it's the first gen Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R.

Asked the wife for this as my xmas gift. The local Hobby town has one in stock, so I'm trying my best not to go in and by it haha. Will also be a shelf queen. I'd hate to mess up that nice body 8)

So, no Arrma Limitless speedrun car for you? [emoji2957]

Guess I just haven't 'settled' on only one type of RC...but, for those (like you) who have, glad ya found what you like "best". [emoji1688]

Long ago (more than 13 years ago!), I had about 12 or so go-fast R/C vehicles.

Nitro Associated RC10GT, an (obviously) nitro T-Maxx, multiple electric stadium trucks, an electric monster truck, and multiple Tamiya electric on-roads in belt-drive and shaft drive and FWD versions.

Oh, and even a nitro-powered Tamiya on-road...

Then, on a weekend where I was at my then-girlfriend's place for the weekend, about half of my apartment complex burnt down.

Along with those R/Cs, you can probably imagine how many spares, uninstalled upgrades, unpainted bodies, tools, and other support items I lost.

Kept me out of the hobby for ages...

Was too depressed to start over again - and I'd already been tapering off because I was tired of the too-serious attitudes at the local tracks.

A little before the fire I had wanted to pick up a crawler to try out, I had seen the Axial Scorpion on the shelves - back then Axial still made nitro engines, too!

So when I finally decided to get back into the hobby I stuck purely with crawlers for quite a while.

Later, I bought a AE Nomad DB8 1/8th buggy, a Traxxas 4-tec 2.0, a Tamiya M-08, and a silly little WPL kei truck.

I never run any of them anymore - only the crawlers.

You mentioned that fire before but I forgot that you lost so much. Sincerely sorry bout that.

Shortly after I moved from Ohio to TX, I had my portfolio stolen... 90% of all my artwork... sentimental stuff as well as college ( advertising design)... portraits, pen/ ink, acrylics, watercolors, structural drawings, schematics, architectural studies, etc... My most cherished works just gone. And I went into a pretty deep hole at that point. Had to make the decision to get back up or just let go of that part of my life.

And I rose up to some degree with design work, signage, some galley pieces, etc... but it wasn't the same. It was very bittersweet. Then came more tactile projects. I got into construction and fabrication and landscaping, and the whole Jeep life thing. And somewhere within that I discovered the world of RC cars. It was just too cool and such a neat and fascinating thing. It was all nitro for me and I took great pride and satisfaction in my builds, bodies, innovations, etc. Eventually the itch got more than scratched so I took a break.

Then after about 10-15 years I discovered crawling and the whole weird awesome world of scalers. I was hooked and it felt great to again be back into something that suited my OCD as well as my love of all things off-road and RC [again]. Also was very cool to dredge up other aspects of modeling and scale stuff that took me back to my childhood... trains, planes, boats, semis, dioramas, construction RC vehicles.

Finding RCC was really cool too. To see other grown-ass men wrenching on tiny trucks and building, modifying, fabricating scale builds/ accessories. I value this place greatly. I may cool off from time to time but I don't think I'll ever truly be rid of my desire to be involved with the hobby.

Thanks for that post, durok "thumbsup"

Oh, man...I seriously feel for ya. A loss like that (and, I'm not referring to the dollar value) can be deviations devastating. Thankfully, I've never had to deal with such a situation...and, hopefully, be I never do...but, be I know others who have.

Among those who lost their houses in the Coffey Park fire that destroyed a good-sized section of Santa Rosa, CA, a few years, were some family friends who own 1600 acres along the north end of Santa Rosa. On that land, they operate a western-themed summer camp for kids. Of the 30 horses, all but 2 were saved. However, most of the camp buildings, as well as the three houses, were completely burned down. The barn & stables were also completely destroyed.

A few weeks after the fire was 100% contained, I took a drone up there, and did aerial photography of the land. I took over 500 photos, and then 'stitched' them together, into one giant photo photo file. They were able to turn that over, asking with an aerial survey photo done three years earlier, to the insurance company. Surveying that land on foot could have taken them weeks...I was able to do it for them in less than a few hours, saving them LOTS of time, and money (no, I didn't charge them at all...not one dime). They lost a lot of what they held dearest. The husband & wife that own the property...the wife's parents (whom I had also known, back when I was a kid) had built the entire camp.

Yes, it was a huge financial loss...but, the personal loss was far greater. That's how I can understand the situation you went through. On the 'plus' side, you found a way back into enjoying RC, and that's what matters. It didn't matter of you're the fastest, or the slowest...as long as you're enjoying it, and bringing joy to others through RC, that's what matters. [emoji1688]
