Pics of your latest purchase

This arrived today. Thanks Dan!"thumbsup"

I'm going to save this build for later. Probably start after Thanksgiving and I'd like to give it a hardbody.

Just saw your post! Congrats!;-)

Thanks, but now I just want the straight axle kit to have for later… don’t think I’ll be able to swing it though.

Made a run to the LHS for some paint and walked out with more than I expected! New shipment of TRX-4m parts arrived a the LHS and I just had to get some while they had them.

Also picked up the Land Rover for the grandson for Christmas. Was shocked to see that they just got in a few more of the RTR's!

Came home from the LHS to find my Wheel of Fortune wheels in the mailbox. Today was a good day!:)

Some of you have seen some of these already, but here’s my latest round of purchases/deals. Traded an axle for a set of 5 method 310’s in the clear variety. Also swapped a transmission and some spare shafts I had for a set of black 310’s. I picked up a twin transmission off twade984 for a future project I have in mind, hence the machined twin gears from earlier. Then last night I stopped by my lhs and picked up the proline wheel faces for the scx6 and placed an order while I was there also.. smh
To finish it off, my latest round of vp wheels of fortune showed up today.

Made the usual trip today into Costco today. The kid found where they were hiding the die cast model cars. But again I wasn't looking real hard for them either. But came home with more than I needed.

When you order a cheap RTR and it comes packed like this.
A Styrofoam box, packed in a box and packed into another box.
FMS 1/6 Suzuki Jimny.
Very toy grade but very big.
I hope to build a good chassis for it, one day.

I was gonna do a Golden Nugget build but the grill is wrong and needs a Hardtop.
Did I say this thing is Huge?
I'll have to use Wraith axles under it. :D

Placed 2 orders last Friday.

The first order from JimsBearings is for my TRX-4m (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/micro-scale-rigs/630516-b-mows-trx-4m-mini-blue-bronco.html). Ordered the bearing kit on Friday and had it in my mailbox in less than 24 hours on Saturday!

The second order from Rock Pirates RC is for my VP Bundle Build (http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vanq...9-b-mows-bf-vp-bundle-build-vs4-10-style.html). Ordered it on Friday and it arrived today. From Claremont, CA on Friday to my mailbox in Ohio today (Monday)!

USPS has been killing it on delivery times here lately!

Hoping you can answer this question. I'm looking at running it on my scx10.2, is there a reason I can't use a flat skid? I'm using a vader flat skid right now. Pretty sure I threw away the stock one.

I'm guessing the lower links would hit the rails? Just from what I can see in the pictures.

That’s a good question. It may be possible to use a flat skid, but here is a screenshot of the info page on RPRC. It does say “do not use a flat skid”, but…

I saw that. I'll have to mull it over. Otherwise I'd be stuck building a whole new crawler

How do they compare to ar60s? Thought about swapping my wroncho to the ryft axles, but if its only slightly bigger it wouldn't be worth it.
You may have found your answer already, if not, I accidentally answered it in the past. Short answer, (approximately) same length but bulkier than the AR60

Another user installed Ryft axles on their Bomber and I asked how they comapared to the original AR60s.

If you used a flat skid, you'd have to move the upper links "up" on the chassis. They don't have a spot for you to relocate the upper links directly to the chassis. If you look at most other flat rail chassis', there's a bunch of optional holes for you to decide where you want your upper links.

Edit: Here's a stock skid, next to a chassis optimized for a flat skid. The dropped down belly is part of this chassis.
