Pics of your latest purchase

Completely forgot these were coming out. Been wanting these to get my knightrunner "complete".

Hit LHS today on my way home from work and saw them on the rack. Problem is now my knightrunners body is thrashed. Have another one sitting here but now this means I have to finally get off my butt and get her "restored" lol. I have 2 other rigs I need to finish the lights on and 3 1/18s that need their work done....

I so hate this hobby sometimes, one set of tires and I'm just pushed over the edge!!! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Manual transmission.. No wonder you had to order it. Where I live, it's been a long time since I've seen any manuals on the lot. My '08 is a manual too. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Congratulations "thumbsup"

Roll up windows and half doors pushes it over the edge for needing to be ordered. You can sometimes find some loaded Rubicon 4 doors around here in manual but never a stripper. Less tech is better when it comes to new Jeeps.

We actually found my wife a Gladiator Mojave manual on the lot here in Va Beach. Was crazy.

Oh wow. Yeah I didn't even notice the 1/2 doors and manual window package. I've always had full doors and either soft or hard top. I actually ordered my 2008 JK too but I can't remember why... maybe because Rubicon + 2 door + manual trans? I definitely agree about the less is better... especially since 2007 with all the electrical/ CANBUS gremlins. This is my third one. First was a '01 TJ Sport, then '04 Rubicon Unlimited. Really wish I had kept the Unlimited... was the perfect wheelbase.

Incision stnd R&P sets for a set of Ryft axles for a future build.
SSD Spools. Chy-Na Chubs and a pair of Treal Knuckles
Fast Eddy bearings.
SSD Aluminum Axle Tubes
Chy-na Axles front and rear.
Stock Axial Housings
Treal F Diff cover (need to mod it a bit as the r&p gears up front are very tight when I tighten it up. Need to clearance the bolt threads maybe as well on the chubs.

Also built a set of SSD's but waiting for a pair of SSD Chubs to show up for them.

The LJ's were close to perfect. A modern CJ6.

I had a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited with all the options but ended up trading it for my current 4runner because of electrical gremlins. It was nice, leather, 6 speed, dual top group, upgraded stereo, etc.

I'll be trading in the 4runner with 100K plus on it for this JL so we will see how it does compared to my JK.

Impulse buy...:lmao:

I got fed up with dealing with FMS customer service, or lack there of and purchased the Furitek Motor/Transmission/Skid combo for my Atlas 6x6.

Add in the Tegu and receiver I already have at the house and I'll be back in business, crawling slower than ever and much quieter

Yep. I was running my LJ with a long arm lift on 35's and she performed very well on just about everything I threw at her.

FWIW I just sold my '99 4runner with 225,000 miles. Was a hard decision but it was time to let her go due to some trans/ engine issues that were looming.

As a kid, we used to visit relatives in Maryland every summer... where I developed a fondness for blue-crab. Unfortunately throughout the years, I've rarely been able to justify the cost of getting fresh crab sent half way across the country. But this year my wife and I decided to say screw it and treat ourselves to an early Christmas gift to ourselves. Still processing the expense but life's too short not to splurge on occasion.

Rad. I used to visit family in Delaware every summer, and we'd have a huge blue crab boil. Maybe I was just a kid and they seemed bigger in the 90's, but I was out there visiting like 15 years ago, and they were tiny/expensive/hard to find.

I'm not sure if that's a trend or if it's more of a seasonal thing. The expense is insane no matter what, but the jumbo lump crab-meat that my wife and I purchased about 4 years ago was large and fresh. I'm guessing that the industry goes thru bad times and good. I'd also guess that some harvests are better than others. I've always gotten my crab-meat in Oct or Nov. This is the first time that I've placed an order in Dec which is a little late but still appears to be top-shelf.

I just need to stop thinking of all the other things I could've bought with what I just spent on 3 lbs of crab-meat...

Honestly, don't sweat it man. We all work our a$$es off to get the things we want, or need. It is okay to splurge on the "want" every now and then.

I'll bet the meat was sweet!!!

I've never been over to the East Coast, but I can relate. Usually it is me sending Halibut, Copper River Reds (salmon), or AK King Crab out to friends.

I usually just buy used parts, clean them up and modify them to fit my builds. This time, I decided to buy new axles instead of scrounging to see if I could find used ones.

This will be for my Carisma F-Series build. Not sure if it is going to be an F-150, or an F-250 like my dad's old truck.

Wow... Probably been 30 years since I've had King Crab... not even sure I've ever had it fresh.

Yeah, It's hard to justify but at least this time around I had full spousal support lol so that made it a bit easier. I find that if I dwell too long that on a big-ticket item that isn't a 'must have' I'll usually pass. Sometimes best to just close your eyes and dive in!

Gonna make the crab-cakes tonight but they should be good. Blue crab from Maryland tastes much better than from here in Texas ( Gulf of Mexico).
