Hell yea sounds goodWell let me know what you get and I will hit you up first if I am unhappy and we may be able to trade if you are open to it.

I assume this is an industry show, not a consumer show. Meant for dealers which either can justify $300 for doing business or they get a much reduced entrance fee by being part of the group putting on the show.
$300 to walk in. Comical. I was gonna check it out, but passed on that door price.
Thanks, and I am aware of this. We attend many trade shows during the year as exhibitors. It's a toy show, not SEMA or SHOT. $300 for a toy show is comical. And if they are selling tickers, it's a consumer show. Shows like SHOT, you cannot buy tickets for unless you are in the industry.I assume this is an industry show, not a consumer show. Meant for dealers which either can justify $300 for doing business or they get a much reduced entrance fee by being part of the group putting on the show.
The $300 is doing exactly what it's supposed to and keeping Joe-schmo consumer from attending.
The exhibitors aren't trying to sell one or two units to each person they talk to. They are trying to sell large quantities to hobby shops, etc.
And yes, if the prototype is a secret, it shouldn't be set out for general viewing regardless of who attends. Only shown to people on a confidential basis. So the "leak" was either intentional or being naive.
LMK if you get that Kawie green I might buy it at a greatly discounted price.Agreed. I would say it is not a popular decision. I have a feeling I will get a certain fugly color that is the color of my second-least-favorite motorcycle brand. There are really only 3 of the 6 colors that look good to me. The 7th mystery carbon fiber panels are amazing! There's nothing cooler than carbon fiber! I don't think I could put them on and scratch them on the rocks though.
I get the impression Josh is so proud of his 'no leak' record that he would sooner deny and lie than concede ...he is the kid sitting in front of the tv with crumbs on his pants but insists he didn't eat any cookies... lolI'm still laughing at the changing story line after the leak..... Super spy stuff...
This is EXACTLY what happened. haha. I'm glad I sold my rtr weeks before this came out.The funny part here is that a kit was leaked, then VP said no, no, no there is no kit. You must buy the RTR. So everyone did, and then a kit comes out. The aspects of the show are irrelevant. Ya all are being played as fools. VP should have fessed up, but they did you all dirty
I ordered from Vanquish because I panicked as soon as I saw that the kit was released. I didn't want to miss the first round of deliveries. Many learned that lesson with the VRD Carbon Kit release. Had no clue that Amain had them with the coupons. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing some research first! Oh well, I guess I earned some more Vanquish bucks!Cool! You ordered direct as well. AMain allows a $30 off coupon. It's the only place I've found that has the preorder and allows coupons. I'm tempted to order a second there and see which ships first...
Nice! A pair is better than one!I also ordered one. Now I'll have two.
Yes I did. Planning on using it on my straight axle build. Pretty good price for what he sent.Nice! A pair is better than one!
And did I see on the social that you also picked up VRD Carbon chassis kit? I grabbed one while he still had them available. Pretty good deal at $55 bucks!
Its $110 less than the RTR and you get machined hardened steel ring & pinions (and spools), aluminum bearing retainers, aluminum standoffs, aluminum motor plate. Thats ~$100 worth of axle upgrades and ~$80 in transmission upgrades. Considering most of us toss the stock electronics and tires and wheels and then add upgrades, I'd say yes, a kit is worth buying.I, ahem love how "happy" the kits livery look(s), lol, that, and you get what you get and you dont throw a fit! What kind of shit is that?
I mean, is it really a better buy as a kit?
True about it being a vendor show, but it has to be tiny in comparison to a 1:1 car show or something like that. I wonder how much it costs for a ticket to get into SEMA.I assume this is an industry show, not a consumer show. Meant for dealers which either can justify $300 for doing business or they get a much reduced entrance fee by being part of the group putting on the show.

That's not fair to say this is limited to Vanquish. Every company I've seen will deny leaks until they are ready to announce the product on their end. Also, I don't think there was anybody in the hobby that didn't think an H10 kit was coming. The funny part here is that a kit was leaked, then VP said no, no, no there is no kit. You must buy the RTR. So everyone did, and then a kit comes out. The aspects of the show are irrelevant. Ya all are being played as fools. VP should have fessed up, but they did you all dirty.
It is a weird thing for Josh to hold onto and a weird dichotomy within the VP employees.I get the impression Josh is so proud of his 'no leak' record that he would sooner deny and lie than concede ...he is the kid sitting in front of the tv with crumbs on his pants but insists he didn't eat any cookies... lol
In contrast, his VP coworkers seem pretty open to both leaking plans and taking cues from the chat forum on their live stream. I am not sure if this is the case because they couldn't care less about keeping secrets or if they are amused by how the prospect of leaks makes Josh itch.
The CF panels are going to sell for more than the price of the RTR in my estimation if people know what they have.Didn't get the rtr.
I think the unknown livery/color option is a nice twist, given the season and time of release. It does hiccup plans for buying wheels if you're into that much color matching so the drapes are matching the curtains. lol
Personally, It's all wet inside so whatever panels arrive, I'm good with, though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really hoping to get the Virgin Variant of CF Panels. lol
But really, with the number of people that part out on Fleabay, you'll be able to get the panels you want with in a week or 3 of them shipping. Someone will be parting them out on fleabay hoping to get a set of the CF Panels to sell no doubt.
Pre-Order was put in last night.
I posted it on a previous page in this thread, but easy to miss since this thread is moving quickly (which is a good thing).I ordered from Vanquish because I panicked as soon as I saw that the kit was released. I didn't want to miss the first round of deliveries. Many learned that lesson with the VRD Carbon Kit release. Had no clue that Amain had them with the coupons. I did see on the social that you picked one up as well.
Who was selling the CF rails for $55?Nice! A pair is better than one!
And did I see on the social that you also picked up VRD Carbon chassis kit? I grabbed one while he still had them available. Pretty good deal at $55 bucks!
People can't have differing opinions? Strange...I, ahem love how "happy" the kits livery look(s), lol, that, and you get what you get and you dont throw a fit! What kind of shit is that?
I mean, is it really a better buy as a kit?
They are claiming the SKUs are identical and therefore the boxes should be as well. The claim from Vanquish is there is no way to tell what is inside without opening the box.I'm sure some hobby shops will order 10-20 kits.
Everybody pull together and make a list of the box numbers and which version they have. Then go pick the 1 you want.
Nope, still an industry/retailer show, not a consumer show even if they sell tickets. Thanks, and I am aware of this. We attend many trade shows during the year as exhibitors. It's a toy show, not SEMA or SHOT. $300 for a toy show is comical. And if they are selling tickers, it's a consumer show. Shows like SHOT, you cannot buy tickets for unless you are in the industry.

I planned on getting a Reefs 800LP.Which servo is everybody going to use??? It seems like a lower profile servo would be beneficial to the center of gravity.
My grey cage pieces arrived today, damn Amain is fast.I just ordered the grey cage pieces
