Chasis skid Plate???

Howdy, first post. Not patient enough to read the whole thread, but wanted to know about the skid plate on my creeper. I noticed mine looks nothing like the one on 1/4elliptic toy's (his has the big ears on it, mine does not), so I did some checking and the one on your website is like his too. Does that mean I just bought a really old kit? Are there other things on my kit that I may need to change or update?

I have one big issue with the creeper and that is the way my center diff hangs on everything. This new skid plate looks like the bomb.

Thanks,

*side note here* those axles are brittle, aren't they. Just got back from a spot after having one snap for no real good reason, I am happy the LHS had spares, and that they are so easy to repair.

problem solved

got tired of waiting for a response here on the forum and called venom directly. customer service was a little surprised at the missing parts amount but took care of the problem. told me i had missed the mail out today but would send them out first thing tomorrow."thumbsup" didn't catch the guys name but i would like to thank him, he said he would drop them off in the mail for me tonight on his way home.:mrgreen: that is by far the best customer service i have ever encountered from a large company. my hat is off to the guy who helped me and venom for hiring people who go above and beyond their duties. i will be spending more money with venom in the future"thumbsup"

how about us that got the difflock kit early, without the springs? I have been using ball point springs, but those wore and its a pain for me to remove servo plates and lots of hard to access screws all the time (ive setup BTA steering on mine) so looking for a harder spring that will keep its spring you know? need something stronger than a pen spring.

has anyone had luck with anyother products?

I was just thinking of using two springs together...

Dig unit

Acording to towerhobbies, the dig unit will be out in the middel of next month, is this correct?

sheared VCD's

so i was out bashing the creeper the other night. wasn't bound up at all, steering may have been at full lock, and snapped a vcd on the front. anybody else had this issue? need to get a new set from venom, unless they want to hook it up!?

Boiling Plastic Chassis Pieces

I have read in several forum build posts that prior to building a new kit it is good to boil some plastic parts to give them more flexibility. Is there any Creeper parts that you would recommend boiling before the build?

is there any word out yet for a spool for our rigs instead of the lockable diff, a spool would be awesome.

Yeah, I blew up my front spider gear set. Made my own fix though. I took the stock lockers from my axial filed them out a bit to fit the creeper axles and they fit perfectly. Gonna try 'em out as soon as it stops raining.

LOCKABLE DIFFS SUCK!!! Have no use for them.
