Novak GOAT replacement

I just pulled my Losi comp crawler out. It’s been 10 years since I’ve played with it. I was having an issue with the motor being super loud. I pulled it apart and the bearings feel good. But after I resemble it and now it won’t turn. I’ve reset the goat esc. I got new battery’s and it drained one down to low to charge now. That wasn’t from driving it just trying to get it to work. I’ve taken it apart several times and it will spine a few times that just stop. And the esc will blink. Is there a motor that will be compatible with my goat esc? I’m really not trying to buy a whole new system.

I believe 2 pole motor only for the Goat. Check the sensor wire?
Hobbywing Fusion SE 2 in 1 system 1800kv roughly about the same price as a decent motor.
Transmission and axles spin freely? No binding. 10yrs could have some seized bearings.

The sensor wire seems ok, I’ve tried to run it sensor less and it does the same thing. The gears and axles all spin freely. I took everything apart and greased it before trying to run it.

I wouldn't bother, unless it's for nostalgic reasons, on a shelf queen. Off it on ebay or buy a replacement part there? Like most others have said; Today's 2 in 1 esc systems are like $45-130 and do well.

your old novac electronics wont even come close to whats out nowdays the novac system might as well be a mechanical speed controler comparatively speakingly anywayly
