New SSD SCX10 axle housings

New housings fitted with all new bearings. Will make some nice links for the steering arm and panard at a later date. Rear end got new shafts and lockouts as well as the bearings.

Could you post up how you did the mod. I think alot of people would be interested to see how to do it.

At this time I am not going to give a step by step on how to do the mod since SSD is in the works of making beef tubes for these axles. I will say though that I didn't find it to be very complicated.

Question for SSD or others that have the combo already. Will the SSD aluminum chassis mounted 3 link kits housing mount fit on our new SSD housings? They look damn similar and I just scored a great deal on the full set up and a new set of pl shocks:shock:

If you have the SSD pan hard kit, then The aluminum bracket (part that sits on the axle) won't work with the new axle housings. The housings come with a 3-link bracket that works for them & the SSD pan hard kit.

Yeah I have a few Ssd housings and knew the 3 and 4 link was included. I was just hoping that the aluminum housing mount would fit. I like metal parts for the suspension. Oh well I will make it work or put it on another rig"thumbsup"

Our CMS kit was originally only for the stock axle so the aluminum axle panhard mount does not work on the D60 axle. The aluminum chassis servo mount and Titanium links are still the correct ones for the D60 axle.

Can I use my aluminum STRC 4link diff mounts on these axles?

It you mean can you use a bracket designed for and used on the stock Axial ax10/scx10 axle housing, then no you cannot use it on the SSD axle housing as it is different. "thumbsup"
