New SSD SCX10 axle housings

Yes we are working on brass tubes right now and we will have some new knuckles and C hubs out soon...

Nothing like spending $100 on hubs and knuckles for a $25 axle. You are my kinda guy. I'd really like to see a write up on this with these new SSD axles and the hubs, knuckles, and XR10 unis you are using. They're going to look fantastic for sure and the steering should be great. I hope SSD is still working on some brass beef tubes for these.

I will try to do a write up when parts show up. I'm not really a vanquish guy due to pricing but it was the clamping hubs and lack of beef tubes that got me on this one. Thanks to RPP Hobby for having the sale and saving me some cash on this build.

just cracked a stock front shock mount while upgrading to alum upper and lower links on a scx-10 deadbolt :-( thought ok id order a set of these.... out of stock :-(

You guy's are awesome! You listen to your buyers and don't take long to produce what we request"thumbsup". I am a major fan of SSD. Do you guys plan on making the 3 and 4 link mounts out of aluminum down the road? That would be another killer option part. I cannot wait for these brass tubes.8)

Got mine. Possibly the 1st set sold in Australia....... can't be sure of that but they only landed yesterday.

How do you use the ackerman link and the 4 link as they both use the mounting holes?

Ackerman, do you mean Panhard mount?

You dont need both at the same time.

You either use the upper 4 link mount with the servo mounted on it or you use a chassis mounted servo with the 3 link + panhard.

Triangulated 4 link + panhard may bind as the panhard travel will bind against the triangulated upper links.

Sorry yes panhard. I currently run a 4link front with panhard and it is fine. But due to the set/design I'm using nothing binds.

You cant use both mounts at once on these axles.

Your current setup may not be triangulated or it just so happens that the rod ends have enough play to not bind. It may work fine but in my opinion, one of your upper links may be redundant.

I dont really want to get into a discussion about suspension setup in this thread. I'm sure this has been discussed before on this forum and we can probably read what others have wrote before...

It would be amazing if you could incorporate a bit more caster positions in the chubs. Axial gives us 2 positions with their aluminum version. Possibly give us 3 so we can get our steering arms up intead of parallel to the ground with the third optional hole? This would make your chubs quit appealing. "thumbsup"

Any chance you could make some brass tubes to make it out to xr width? Or is there not enough demand for sometbing like that?I want narrower axles for my wraith.

Stock width SCX axles are great for Wraith, I'm using them or Ascender axles on mine. "thumbsup"

I'd love to write down how much I love the SSD axles! But my mail lady is hiding them from me. I bet they are in a pile of forgotten mail in the back of her car
