NEW Axial 1/10 SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 4WD Brushed RTR

The body and all the parts needed are up on RPP but nothing in stock. Doing some quick math in my head, you are going to be almost 200 bucks in for a complete clear body with all the detail parts. I think I am going to do a custom body but just buy the polycarbonate parts and move all the other stuff off the stock body to save some cash. The poly parts are 85 bucks.

That's insane. Shame on Axial.

Re: Scx10-iii cj-7

Details are nice, dig is fun, lights are bonus, never drove an SCXIII, so we’ll see how it does tomorrow. Not stoked on the cage design but it’s not horrible. Also, not keen on the rear fender/body armor being black. Will probably pull them off and remove the doors and see how it looks.
Also, patiently waiting for someone to make a hardtop. [emoji51]
Too busy swapping wheels and letting my son drive it before it got dark.

Nice to see one in the wild. I do still hope to own one of these someday.

The ride height while it's strapped on the trailer looks a lot better to me than the stock ride height.

I had ordered one of each color, got them today! "thumbsup"
The ride height I did notice was a bit high. I think dropping that will definitely add to the scale look easily enough. The cage does seem a little flexy, but to be honest, I probably won't hard core beat the snot out of these anyway. The scale pieces are nice, the body seems pretty stout. Time will tell. But for the CJ I've been waiting for them to make, I'm pretty happy.

Re: Scx10-iii cj-7

Chopped up the rear cage real quick to kinda make in CJ-ish.
Internal limiters (10mm front, 14mm rear) in shocks for the cheapo lowering kit.

Wow!

I would not have expected the modified cage to look so much better, but it does. Makes the stock cage look gaudy.

Looks killer. The cage is one of the only things I didn’t like the looks of.

That spot makes it look like a 1:1

Here’s mine. TRX-4 shocks, LURC wheels, metal Amazon shackles. I gotta say the wheels look the part.

This looks excellent. Very nice.

My red CJ arrived Christmas Eve-eve, I still haven't had a chance to get out with it. Did some work with a heat gun to get the decals fitting the hood contours and windshield correctly.

Wow the cage mod alone makes it look more like a CJ! "thumbsup" I agree with you that the black armor-style fenders don't look good.
