my TT build thread........

if I had a CNC to make that alum transfer case yes....but if you read through the whole thread you would have read where I only used a hacksaw and drill press and files to build the whole truck "thumbsup" ....there are just some things even a MacGyver type person like me can't do :lmao: ....yeah i'm kinda not in tune with the cab myself after the wheel wells were done and it looking kind of funny....but I think when the interior is done it will balance out....yes the link mounts are used from the ladder bars I made....just the time involved to make the 4 of them I didn't want to redo them, so I just used them....

Seeing your skill on other parts of your build, especially the motor and trans plate, I am convinced that you could build that t-case block. Just drill two holes large enough for the two gears to fit completely through, and use the files to clean out the hits in between to make the holes into a single slot. You probably did exactly that when you made the slots for the motor adjustment. Drill the 4 holes for the existing T-case bolts. Bolt everything together and hacksaw and file the block to the same outer dimensions as the existing plates, being sure to leave the extra tabs at the bottom. Drill holes through those tabs to match the existing mounting hols in the cross member. You could even leave rather-thick tabs, tap them out, and use a long screw from underneath directly into the block.

ok, i've read and looked through your thread. Can you answer me this. How are these two shafts staying centered in these holes? Did you counter sink the bearings on the inside and your not showing us? Just curious.. trying to make sense of this.

If you look close you can see the inside of a bearing on each shaft. Looks like they are counter sunk into the back of the plate.

Oh I didn't see that picture. He's just using flange bearings that press into the holes....

Hey folks this truck is going up for sale 😢 , don’t know how much yet as I’m still figuring out prices of stuff I used. I’ll post up an ad as soon as I get it all sorted out, With postage and a bunch of extras too 👍

The way it was all built to fit together, makes it seem a shame to me to part it out. Especially considering that most of those parts aren't a direct fit for other chassis'.

I'd be more interested in it complete, but don't put too much stock in my opinion. I don't plan on buying it.
