I have used spring from a lawn mower pull start but I was ripping some seats out of my old car and took the springs out of the seat belt retractor and that's my fav nice a soft.

well got my transfer case done, nothing special just a set of 23t/13t gears inside....just need to shorten the shafts to length and make alum threaded pipe spacers to 3mm....

TT20.jpg

i'm using mod .8 which equal 32p gears pretty darn close....i'm using a mix of 32p 1/8" bore and mod .8 5mm bore gears in my gear driven servo winch "thumbsup" ....my transmission will be the same as this unit, but it will be incorporated into the motor plate to save a bit of weight and an extra 1/8" alum plate part.........bob

Looking sweet do u plan putting holes in the leaves to mount them. I cant figure out how to drill the holes in them cause of the spring metal being hard.

i'm going to make axle blocks, U-bolts and plates and clamp them to the axle housing "thumbsup" ....i'm making as much on this build as i can.......bob
