My Axial SCX10 Trail Honcho, King of the Bean rebuild!

That's pretty dang sweet John. You guys are giving my son allot of ideas for his SCX10....thanks. Looks like an awesome spot to crawl.

Sweet video (minus the junkyard rig portion  ). I can't believe you caught and passed me up so quick. I swear the Rover was going as fast as it could go. So how long did it take for you to catch up to your rig?

:ror::ror: You didn't know the second reason for having that camera was to send video to his glasses. I wans't even there and I know he couldnt keep up with that rig.

What am I supposed to call your rig? I guess I could have used the word "custom" but junkyard seemed more fitting. :ror:

I was actually jogging behind my rig which sucked ass in the new boots I was wearing. Fortunately my rig got hung up right after I cut to the other seen and then I ended up trying to winch Sam's rig through where I got hung up which gave me some much needed rest after running that marathon.

Ok you have a point. I am used to "Ghetto", but I guess junkyard does fit pretty well in this case.

Now it all makes sense. I was wondering why you sounded asthmatic. I wouldn't call that 10 yards a marathon though. I think we ran further and faster from that gardener in the middle of the night at Folsom. That was more of a legitimate run than this one.

Great video and editing though. The Bean looks even better at vehicle level.

How many years ago was that chase? Your lucky I caught up to you when I did at the Bean cause I swear I saw a ranger that was about to harpoon your fat ass.

I agree, you can really see what the Bean has to offer from that view.

looks like an amazing place to crawl.

Please tell me someone drives right into the side of your rig "thumbsup"

Great video John.
It puts a totally different perspective on the bean.
Fun times.

great build and thread badger,i was just wondering i am also running the vanquish knuckles and i noticed the driver side can not go to full articulation because the servo short link hits the chassis, does yours do this too?

I have been waiting for a good look at the bean. Gonna have to make a trip. It is not to far from me at all.

Cool loking rig! Awsome vid!

Thanks guys.

Not this time but chino63 has been known to get into an accident or two at the Bean.

Thanks. Yes my steering link does hit the frame and prevent full articulation on the drivers side but it's a scaler so I don't care if I don't get full articulation or full steering. I'm installing the Hand Bros CMS kit though so that should fix the problem.

Finally got a chance to see this. Nice job John!"thumbsup"
Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't take credit for T-bone that good. That is the work of an Asian driver.

:flipoff: I'm building up my second SCX10 to include the summit 2speed. This rig is my daily driver and is to pretty to destroy with a 2 speed.

Ah, the Master.

My 2-speed is on the way.

Why is this bringing back memories of another accident between 2 baskin robins fan-boys? Something to do with a jump? :ror:
