Losi Baja Rey 1/10th 4WD RTR desert truck

Ran 4 packs and the tires are holding up great so far and they perform much better then stock. On hard pack with loose on top they are pretty sticky, I was surprised by how good they did. It’s still easy to drift through turns also. They do rub a little up front but not bad. They are a few mm taller then stock. I would rate them above the kr2’s.

Do you guys know if the clear body that is available for these is any thicker than the rtr body? I’ve only ran 3 packs through mine and several of the mounts have already pulled through the body

It’s the same, I learned on the first body so I would drywall tape and shoe goo the body. Especially on the rear fenders and where the hood and cab screw together. That’s the first area to get torn iff

I’m defiantly having the rear fenders but the front is only the front screws that attaches the hood to the cage.

This area where the 2 screws are usually rips off. Reinforce it with a couple of strips of dry wall tape.

Its the 2 screws behind the front tires. Cut a couple of strips down each side. I did a couple of coates of bedliner first and it seems to be holding up pretty good.

Ok I’m ordering a clear body for it tomorrow and I’ll reinforce those areas.

With it supposed to be 70s here Friday and Saturday I wanted to get the Baja back together for a run. So instead of ordering the diff gear online i went to the lhs and picked it up that way. After replacing the diff gear, fresh grease, all fresh bearings and all of the vp stainless replaced with 12.9 black hardware. Then the amazing looking Currie f9 was finally together and put back in to get it ready

Excuse the mess, but this is the only pic I have of the f9 axle, even though it’s already back on the truck. I should be able to start beating in it after work and tomorrow

Nice, I’m gonna do the same. With the extra weight it jumps nice and level and I think it even tracks straighter through the rough stuff with it. I also just picked up a gmade gom and want to get that thing going as well. Too many toys and not enough time

Nice, I’ve been on the fence about them. My biggest thing against it is I don’t want dig or the 2 speed other than that just parts support

RPP hobby carries the parts but other then that you have to wait for the slow boat from korea if they don’t have them in stock. That’s why I bought it because of the 2 speed and dig.

Anybody noticed this before? The front diff outdrives are starting to show where they are taking a beating. Never noticed it before, but then again never looked. My Losi SCBE is doing the same thing on the rear axles. The fronts are not nearly as bad.

I guess I will keep an eye on this. I did a lazy search for a hardened aftermarket option but didn't turn up anything. Any of you guys seen anything in your searching? Truck has never seen 3S and is still on it's original pinion bearings front and rear.

TheletterJ is right, that’s normal wear from using that type of driveshaft.

Anyways I was getting a little annoyed that I never received an email that my jec racing trailing arms shipped so I was about to contact them and see what was up..... then they came in the mail that day! So i never called. Now I just need to install these sweet trailing arms
