Losi 1/10th Roller

I read your post wrong:ror: I'm not 100% sure, but as the Xcellorin motor fits in there, it's got to be close, the Puller can't be much longer than that.

Thanks maybe soon we will know for sure if it will fit. Thanks for the help again. "thumbsup"

Losi 2.2 Comp Crawler

Has anyone seen the Losi 2.2 Comp Crawler yet? I just saw it in the Feb 09 issue of RC Car Action. I love the belly clearance and the ridiculously small axles. It also comes stock with front and rear dig I believe. It has a fully adjustable suspension and zero ackerman steering. This should definately be a contender in the 2.2 scene.

Here are some of the specs:

Length-17.5in
Track width-9.875in
Wheelbase-12.5in
Belly clearance-3in
Axle clearance-1.8in with Rock Claws
Gear Ratio-80:1 (15 tooth pinion)
Weight-4lb 3oz (with electronics and lipo battery)

It says in the mag that it may have some changes made before production and that they can't really give out a price right now. Kudos to the Losi team!!

The gear ratio is one that is changing for production. Wheel base is actually closer to 12.3"...that one is on me...just gave him the wrong numbers.

I think the 2.5" measurement is face to end, but I will have to check when I get back home.

If it's 2.5" it will not fit without modifying the receiver tray...not a serious mod, but it will not drop in without the mods.

I should also note that the Car Action article should be hitting the shelves pretty soon. There are a couple changes since that was written.
1. the Gear ratio is not going to be 80:1, we are still working on that
2. The wheel base is closer to 12.3" I basically gave out the wrong info.

Thanks again for the kind words and the lesson on the Tekin ESC LOL

Well I can't wait, I just pre-ordered one from TCS. I love tinkering with new stuff. Nice job Rich and crew."thumbsup"

Another question can the tekin fx-r be used with the 7t puller, if not what motor would you guys suggest that i get?

Yeah, the push control will be very nice.

I got a chance to try out the Push Control with worm gears (kyosho) at 99:1.

Didn't work as you'd expect. It's not so much a coast, as it is a constant light throttle for a duration of time. That time can be changed on the controller, but still, it wasn't so much a slowing down coast as it was a small throttle input for a duration of time. Not the way I wanted it to work.

Gas it, let's say full speed, let off, and it creeps along at a slow speed for a length of time, then stops. It's not gradual.

So at this point in time, I'll say it's not going to work as we'd hoped. Hopefully I can be proven otherwise. If not, get used to using small throttle inputs to coast. Like a Novak Rooster Crawler ESC.

If I wasn't convinced before, the video just sealed the deal on my decision. Definite must have! Its going to be a competitive year!
Once again, Great Job Losi!"thumbsup"

the vids look awsome!! the one biggest problem i have with my crawler is the creep on a steep hill i have 100% drag brake (extends batt life drag brake drains batts), but it kills me when it does that. basicly the losi has everything i want in a crawler so ill be on the list as soon as i get the $ dam economy!! can someone explain to me the benifit of a fron dig? to me it seems the rear would just push the front, maybe for a reverse??

the novak goat motor will fit in the chassis? if i remember its a long motor. at just a hair over 2" (2.08")

also the batt looks like its mounted on a "batt plate" and not the links but it could just be the pictures.

ah i see so its like adding a line lock and doing a burnout to do a 180 in place :) yes saves a reverse point :) +1 there! ohh one more thing. where does the servo mount for the dig? on top like the dna unit? man im chomping at the bit for this thing hahahahaha
