Losi 1/10th Roller

he said "just like they did"

not that they were going to make 1.9 wheels for the comp crawler... jeesh, if your going to quote it..

I noticed ond Losi's site it's labeled as available for $XXXXX. Does this mean it's close to stores? or it's still too far off to put the availability date up yet?

Thanx for the hard work and tech Rich.

if you guys could pick only one which would it be, rockforce or comp crawler :?::?::?:

Losi, hands down. There are so many minute details that Losi paid attention to and got right that other manufacturers didn't even consider. I am definitely going to pick one of these up.

I noticed today that the Losi doesn't have an available date posted. Does this mean it is close to being released? Or does it mean the release date is too far off?

Thanx Rich for all your effort, as well as the other gentlemen who've worked with you in designing the Comp Crawler.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Right off the bat I want to thank our team guys for their input (in no particular order :) ) , Austin Dunn, Jay Robinette, Jake Wright, Nathan Eells and Brian Jones.
We have a great designer who put all our ideas together and improved on them in one design, so props to him too.
Now, so far in testing it has been pretty good. We have some minor bugs to work out, but luckily nothing to major. We have not gotten them out to all our team drivers yet, but soon they will continue the testing for us.

I've taken some shots on the Carvers and the release date with those tires. That being said, we are looking at late Feb/March release BUT please keep in mind, we are not going to release this Crawler until we are 100% sure it's good to go.

Thanks again,
Rich

EDIT: I should add that Jay Robinette (Rubbaneck) has done some testing and will offer some insight soon

Ballpark time from the man himself "thumbsup"

highly possible this is going to be best new product for 2009! looks to be another dedection from the bank account. great work LOSI!!! was looking to buy an mrc, but i might have to hold off for this.

With the worm drives, is an ESC like the Tekin FX-R going to really be an advantage? (it's braking/holding ability is what I mean) - I'm trying to come up with an FX-R for my current truck, with plans to move it to my next one - which until now was an Axial. Now that my next truck will be the Losi, is the FX-R really needed?

I dont think the drag brake in the FX-R is going to be an advantage in truck with a worm gear axle. It does have a nice feature called push control which is a benefit with a worm drive axle.

what running gear would u guys recommened for this crawler and why? I put one on back order and this is going to be my first crawler. I want to do it right the first time.

this is from the owners manuel

LED4: PUSH CONTROL or ANTI-DRAG overcomes the natural drag of the motor when you return to neutral. Racers
refer to this as “creep” , this setting eliminates the need to trim the throttle forward to create a coasting (pushing) effect. Low
values give you a short duration push, higher values a longer duration push.

This makes it so the truck won't come to a stop when you let off the throttle.
