Losi 1/10th Roller

If i have drag brake and push control set, do they cancel each other out?

While I'm not positive, I can't see why you'd ever want to use both at the same time. Trucks with a regular ring and pinion axle would use the drag brake setting for sure, but why would you want to push it then? Do you want it to stop, or go?

Push control is designed for a racer (lets say a 1/10th scale sedan on a loose track) to come into a corner with more control. As you let off the throttle, rather than the motor coming to a sudden stop (which is very noticable on low geared, high power motors) it allows you to come to a more controlled and gradual slow down, effectively reducing the chance of you spinning out. The more Push Control the longer the effect. Another use is if you run in a stock class (say 1/10th sedan again) where it's critical that you maintain your speed in corners. This Push Control can help a novice driver maintain speed, while he learns throttle control.

For crawlers, it doesn't have a huge application but now that we are seeing worm drive rigs, it suddenly has great potential. As you know worm gears stop on a dime (reguardless of the motor used), and with push control you can simulate a more gradual slow down. This will be most noticable going downhill. Some of you may have noticed with the Kyosho rig, that when you decend at a fair amount of speed, there is a good chance that your backend will come over on you. Push control will help with this.

Sorry to get off topic ;-)

Losi rig looks awsome!!!

Wait a second. Maybe he meant when at a stand still. But then I realized they're worm gear axles, so they don't move anyways...

Will it also allow the tires to rotate backwards when you let off the throttle on a vert? If so, bad news, if not, sounds great for the Losi and other Worm gear trucks.

Well, when I let off, it keeps rolling forward a little. Then it's all the worm gears and those lock up.

so the push control goes away at some point on the ESC?? in other words it wont continue to try and creep..

Yea it can be set to your liking. It wont keep going and will stop at some point depending on how you set it.

The push control keeps the motor going the same direction so it cant back up"thumbsup" An FXR pro on 3s with a Holms puller should me money in this crawler

I'm loving this discussion!! Great Info Guys!!!! I will be adding an FXR to my electronics arsenal!! I wonder how hard it would for Mr.Holmes to add that "Push" Function to his ESC Software??

hsa anybody heard of an official date that this crawler is set to come out, is the date still the same as before late feb/march. I know somebody asked earlier but i didn't see a response to the time frame.

Id like to hear some thought on how it does against a well setup shafty rig or a nice Berg setup. I dont know if anybody has compared them yet?

I cant wait till I own one.

Does anybody know for sure if the puller will fit in the chassis, also can the tekin fx-r be used with this motor? Thanks

I guess i worded it wrong, i understand it does not come with any electronics, I was just curious if the cobalt puller would fit, I would hate to order one and it not fit. Thanks
