Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Where are you planning on mounting the battery? Axle, Skid, Motor?

From alllllll the pics he's had posted before, looks like it's axle mounted.

I heard to save weight he's going solar powered.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

back from shamrock! not sure exactly how we did since i left early and scores are not posted but i think the agents there did some work"thumbsup"

thanks to one of my team members we found a small issue with the size of the carbon fiber side panels.

it seems i made them just a hair under the 3.5 min surface area. for this i apologies! i got so carried away with making it look the way i wanted i forgot to double check it.

have no fear!

everyone that has ordered and their chassis either arrived or has been shipped will be taken care of on this.

i am cutting new panels this week and i will be posting the info here in this thread about how to get your new set!

for the time being....to make your body legal you have options.

this is what i did.

i made a lexan panel to act as a window that was over the legal size.

it is ugly and was made in the field so dint make too much fun of it.

here is the new panel with the actual surface area measurement.

the highlighted line shows the surface area for both sides so it will be divided in half. it is dead nuts so there will be no question with this picture!! it still looks very similar but now with the proper surface area"thumbsup"

again i apologies for this but it happens...i will make it right!"thumbsup"

again...

i will be posting instructions here on how to redeem your new panels if your order has already been received or shipped.
all orders that were place and have not been shipped will come with the new panels. there might be a very short delay in the shipping but material is here and files are already done. cutting will commence tomorrow.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Good job on the top five at Shamrock Jeremy, and having a YTC team driver get the win, racer_zh! "thumbsup"

No biggie on the panel issue, still a couple weeks away from my next comp.

i just saw that!

looks like the first big outing with the 3.5 bodiless was a success"thumbsup"

not only did the secret agent 3.5 bodiless win, but all three there were in the top 10
not too bad for a brand new truck! wait untill they get really dialed. i know casey and i both had some electrical issues. so those will get sorted out quick.

as for the motors....

bad to the bone. no noticable drag or power loss at the weight i was running(4.4 lbs)

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Congrats Y Town. To have 3 outta 3 in the top 10 in a comp with the caliber of drivers that the Shammy attracts is impressive to say the least. "thumbsup"

But to pull the win is just NUTS!!!

J.D.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

I was told they were made to your specs, using the revo rod ends!! Is this not the case? What rod ends are you suppose to use?

Since I have no affiliations with chaotic, they might be my eye to eye lenghths but not my bend specs by any means...

There are other things to consider with links like axle clocking as well. I assume they are close. If they are short on wheelbase a jato end can be cut to fit to make it right.

A simple tube cutter can be used to make them the length you need.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

How are the FXR's running decased and shrink wrapped? Any issues?

They seem to be doing just fine.

You need to be very carefull with the wire routing to prevent shorts on the signal wire...

I conformal coated everything before the shrink wrap as well.
