They will work both stock & VP top link mount.

This comes with two, only need one each axle.

If they use stock plastic case, the 5x8 bushing will fit in the cases, so the traxxas package comes with 12 which will do both cases & top link mounts.

True. I just wanted to post another option since one guy said he was having trouble sourcing the traxxas bag.

Also another option would be VP's bushings.

Damn those XR10 guys... Buying up all the bushings:ror::roll:

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

thanks for the info. i'll try them"thumbsup",i just want to let you know, don't use the vanqush brass bushing on the ti axles shaft, it dosn't work,it gets hot and the brass exspands and seses it self to the axle, i know it happened to me, big time"thumbsup"thanks again for the info..

Soak your bushings in some light bearing oil or WD40 (at the very least) over night and that should help.

I should clarify that I use traxxas us hints and haven't had them seize on my Ti gear shafts.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

a little motor tech/update from Eddie @ BROOD.....

something tells me this guy knows his shizz!!!!

step one:

he wound 30t single with a 20 awg. wire using a 4mm skewed blank with a 10mm com.

the comm was then welded using silfos 15. the armature was then cleaned and dipped in epoxy using vacume pressure impregnation, then baked to cure.

the winding was engraved on the shaft and then the armature was precision ground to a matching diameter for a perfect airgap. the armatures were also measured for a precise match of inductance, resistance and comm timing, as well as the armatures being prebalanced before winding and the shafts checked for straightness:twisted:

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Are these from the same motors your currently running, or the new ones Eddie is building you?

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

heh, prepare for sticker shock if you ask how much a pair would cost ya!"thumbsup":lmao:

More of the motor build over the next few days....had to call in favors (mostly sexual) to get some parts fabricated for these....

It's a shame that jewels like that have to go in a can.

How much?

If you have to ask, you can't afford them.:flipoff:

All kidding aside I think Eddie mentioned that the old matched set was going for about $250 a pair, so one can only assume this set is quite a bit more.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

They are basically the same armature he is currently running, as he did not want a big change in power, low speed, etc. Basically I just was much more extravagant in how I constructed the armature.....

Thanks, they are not done yet.....still need cut, balance and dye (though I dunno if I am gonna dye them).

Intent is to use a special KR can....8)

Silfos has been the standard for welding arms in slot cars and rc since they started doing it. It slots, everything worth a crap is welded or it blows up. Silfos not only is lower resistance, the rest of the armature will fail before a weld does.

How much?

Well, figure base price of a skewed HHK-S arm is $45 or so each.......add epoxy balance at $5, stack grinding at $5 per......along with all the other work I put into them....I would probably peg them around $70 or so an armature.....never really sat down and figured it out.

I was thinking the same thing :)

So was I:mrgreen:

Maybe the can will look as pretty too!:lmao:

Depending on the mods done on top of what we are already working on, these will easily exceed $300 a pair....but whats cool is some of the stuff we are doing will be available as an option on motors like the creep or apocalypse in the future.
