What about rice?

Looking for a HPI trophy truck to buy before the weekend. Got the cash for Christmas. Any one of a local shop with one in stock?

Thank.

Fort Collins has one too."thumbsup"

As of 12:30 today Ft. Collins Hobbytown has one or two of the HPI mtdt in stock. Was there at lunch and it was hard not to remove one from their inventory:evil:.

EDIT:

Gary,
The one I saw was the Yokohama version, not sure what channel. I am headed back up there tomorrow and could retrieve it for you if you wanted to make arrangements.

Just picked one up at Hobbytown in Longmont!

Thanks for the help!

See ya Saturday.

Got it "thumbsup" If we are running in the dirt though, I won't bother...I'll order some online since I doubt Hobby Clown will have anything on the list.

Colpar West has the HPI X pattern Tarmac tires in stock.

That is what I have, they work pretty good.

We can always add more tires to the list guys. Those were just off the top of my head. The goal of the list was to keep it inexpensive with a smaller list, so people don't feel then need 100 tires to stay competitive, but to try and not make everyone buy new tires if that is what they have. I am thinking no slicks, "road legal" tires only. Keeps it scale right?

Plus from all the images I could find of these tires they were pretty scale...

That's actually the ones I wanted too. I just want something to autocross with Chris during lunch and not tear up my off-road tires.

I don't care how competitive they are, so I don't plan on buying a bunch of different tires. Basically if I can tell the difference between my road tires and dirt tires just by feeling them, then that's all that matters right now "thumbsup"

so this is what i have....let me know wich ones you would rather me run, ide rather be runing the x patterns but hey this is what i have full sets of (ive got some hard compound semi drift tires too but they are slicks therefore completely out)

I would say no to Vintage tires. I don't think 60 series tires on 15" rims is the right look for a Rally car. :ror:

I don't have any problem with the ones in the middle and the HPI rally tires are on the list (even if they are bald). "thumbsup"

I agree Turtle, keep the tires looking road legal. If we run a Tarmac event I'll run my HPI VGrooves (#4540).
I have no problem getting muddy, all I need to do is balloon the RX on the MTDT and I'm good. However if the attendance would be better with a tarmac event I'm all for it.

Savox 1251 low profile metal gear

I wrapped the roll cage in duct tape to keep some dirt out, not sure how much it did.:ror:

Jason made some clear lexan panels and bolted them to the cage. There are even holes in the corner gussets for the screws.

Stock servo for now, I just put a Savox SC1257TG in my rally car and if I like it I may get one for the MTDT.

Not looking to shiny for me to come out this Saturday:cry: Too much to do and I still have the rally and the mini torn down. Hell they're still full of mud.

But on a positive note, just bought Jaxon, my 8 year old a MTDT from Tower for $154 shipped. Going to throw the Sidewinder with 4pole 3800kv out of his Blitz in it. So we'll have one more mini driver soon, he's a pretty good little driver too."thumbsup"
