Interest in Rally?

Well I guess I wont be making it out the lcq now..can't keep up with a pack of tb01's...anyone want a df03 for parts..im too broke to keep up.

You should know, its not about the car its about the driver. The vehicle is personal preference, there is so many different cars out there having a specific one doesn't guarantee anyone a win. Its all about driving, thats how the tracks are designed.

If you think about the guys who do good at events, like Cato, who raced for years and years, me who has been driving rally cars for a few years on a weekly basis, Griz, who is slow but consistent and stays on the track, etc. Its not about what we are driving, especially since we all have completely different cars.

Very true Ty, and couldn't have said it better.
I would like to get something different, but I just want to have fun. If I can win cool, but I really just want to hang out and have a good time. The minute this turns into something that I have to always be spending money on, I'll move on to something else or get another plane!

I couldn't agree more...... If this turns into something ultra competitive I'm out. The only reason I bought the TB01 is the fact they have metal internal gears. I just like the durability.

I really want 2 just for those reasons.

Wondering if Jason or Aaron still have their lexan vacuum forming abilities?? I could see a few of those underbodies being built for less than they want for them on ebay.
Was wondering about the motor mount...still trying to decide what to slap in there for a motor. Got the old castle sidewinder and a link, might just slap a titan or something in it to get going. Need lipo and a decent charger still, crap...I need a good 2.4 radio unless I want to drive it on the dx6:shock:

Stan, you can have the radio from my wraith if you want it. I don't use it8)

I've got a 4800kv xcelorin motor you can have for it too mang

Van, thanks for offering that up"thumbsup" Not to familiar with that motor...is it compatible with the old sidewinder I have? It's not the sc or v2 model, it's the old original they discontinued.

EDIT: Looks like it will work with the sidewinder...probably need to stay with 2s to keep the esc from going up in flames.

Alright guys Saturday the 31st of December for the next one, just a refresher. With all the snow we were going to change locations, but it is suppose to be high 40's and 50's for the rest of the week. So I am going to go down there and shovel today and dump some bags of sand on the track. Should be pretty good by saturday."thumbsup"

Turtle,

I'll be lucky if my kit shows before then, But what time do you guys start?? Might be in just to see what I'm getting myself into:mrgreen:

my cover works waaaaaaay better then that f-ed up mini t nightmare i was running....just a tiny bit of water in the chassis after turning my car into a snowball in the front yard...that includes mashing through a 2" deep puddle i didnt see(duh...watch more then 5 feet infront of a rally car at full speed on brushless lol) ...should be gtg for this weekend...

I would like to say that I'm in, but not sure. I know that I've got plans later in the day/evening. I'm also worried about track conditions. I've used up my extra esc's so I would hate to lose one just to run in the mud. Although it looks like a lot of fun, just not in the budget to be replacing expensive parts.

well i know ty is gonna try and make it better this time...im not diggin frying stuff either...but that said ...i can make more covers like mine if anyone wants one that dosent already have an underbody...post up if you want one...they work pretty good

I'm in for the 31st, I need to be home by about 4 pm but we have been getting done plenty early for that.

The waterproofed Sidewinder worked perfect and the rally car is good to go. I'll be putting a waterproofed Sidewinder in the MTDT this week so it will be ready to go as well. Now I can run 3S in the MTDT!

Jason,

Bring the EXO down on saturday.

I have some GEN ACE batteries on the way but If they do not show up can I borrow a pack for a race or two?

Looking forward to it!
