House’s TiDe Fighter

The first one was a little excessive.
This is how I did most of them after that.

Such a slow process getting everything to your liking.
And a little time spent on a ghetto fab foam slicer.

Re: House’s Alumi-Fighter Bounty Hunter

I can't believe you're going to mount those old skool tires on this rig.
Haven't you heard all the cool kids run voodoo pins.

Welcome to 2009... errr 2019!:lmao:

I do have Voodoo pins also, but sometimes you just have to ‘Rover Up’. "thumbsup"
Do you remember Wendover in the rain?!?

It never ceases to amaze me at how much rubber
you can pull off of these things. I guess I should have
done a weight comparison...

No, that's why I can't use it to get a proper weight difference.
I would have to come up with a rubber from snot extraction system first...:lmao:
That's like a whole ball, I kind of want to throw it at something and see what happens!

Alright, I have been doing a lot of research lately and I thinkI am ready
to unveil to the RC world some next level shit... I think this might actually
be something that will garner some interest from the new school hard core
crawler crews that stomp around the internets... Whatcha think? Too raw?
Way ratchet? Too Nite of Forts? Too Book of Faces? Thcale enuf?

Back to the bent shock rodends,
XR10, RC4WD, SCX10
No scale yet but I think the left two will be close.
My hands tell me the steel one is still heavier...

What brand left rod end?

M3 or M4?

PS

Crazy job!!!

Re: House’s Alumi-Fighter Bounty Hunter

All the scale accessories look great but It won't be true scale until you have full interior and a driver.

Other then playing dress up have you driven this rig yet?

Look closer, there is an ice chest and a dog inside. That's all that matters! HAHA
I am trying to draw outside interest into the real crawler world with bait... Maybe it won't work?
Nobody commented on my scale banners in the "garage" yet, I am sad.
*edit - Thanks Eddie! You posted that while I was typing "thumbsup"

No Matt, I haven't driven it. Not even around the house. No available daylight during the week
and weekends have either been too busy or too shitty weather to go outside. Sad, I know.
Most work I have ever put into a dust collector yet...

You've got it backwards brotha... you do not come down to the lower minded... you hold your higher position and draw them up... competition rc rock crawling is on a different level... and whether they acknowledge us or not... they wouldn't have any of the current part offerings without us.

True 'dat brutha..
But if we can't catch a fish with a beautiful hand tied dry fly,
then maybe it's time to stab a nasty old worm with a hook
and see what bites it...

Slowly but surely the locals are catching on. We go out most every weekend and I always take my pile of rigs and let anyone drive anything they want. Well anything but the exo and bomber, they'd destroy them.

By allowing them to drive something that doesn't suck and can actually perform they are realizing their stuff pretty much needs fully rebuilt but I'm helping them fix their setups and get the right parts together. If I'm not careful we will have a few more sportsman rigs running around here this summer.

I didn't see the dog but I did notice the bed roll in the back. My only concern isnt for the pro 0laying dress up but for the fact that you have such things in the first place... :flipoff:
