I was trying to lead these preschoolers away from the shiny things, but it didn't work. They have the attention span of a gnat, me included. :lmao:

I believe I saw in a thread before that you said you have no kids. So I just wanted you to know, that this what it's like having kids. You make something nice, everyone likes it, and then BAM. It's wrecked by a little kid that thinks it's funny. And you're left with a smoldering pile of rubbish that barely resembles it's original self.

No kids, but I was one once myself. And I grew up around a ton of cousins that now have young kids as well as a nephew. I get it. Kids are great, but they are chaos for sure! :lmao:

So I emailed Tower this morning about the availability of an RC4WD product that currently shows Back Order - Order Pending. Below is the response I received from them. To me this is very unsettling. If you have something on back order with Tower it appears they have no idea when they will be restocked.

"Dear Tower Hobbies Customer,

Thank you for contacting Tower Hobbies. We appreciate your interest in this item, however, our company is currently facing some inventory procurement challenges. The current goal is to have inventory to fill the highest needs. Tower Hobbies continues to appreciate your patience and business."

Inventory procurement challenges... :lmao: In other words, no one is going to send us inventory until some sort of payment for back invoices is guaranteed.

"inventory to fill the highest needs" - Whomever will let us off the hook for the least amount of money.

Kids are great if you can give them back at the end of the day.

Or...

You marry a woman with kids that are old enough to know how to behave and taught to always behave that way.

Yeah - we're not getting anything and we'll deal with customers that yell the loudest first.

Now BigSquid is reporting that "JR Propo has filed for bankruptcy." This won't affect as many people, but still sad news.

I'm honestly surprised they held on for so long. Horizon was their main importer and after Spektrum was introduced, JR got tossed to the side. That was what, 2005?

What was JR's last surface radio? The have put out some good servos but they were always crazy on the price. I don't even know where you would buy JR stuff these days.

Posted on the previous page between all of the chit chat. :lmao:

I thought their presence elsewhere kept them alive. I've personally never owned a JR product. Weren't they bigger in the US back in the 80's or 90's?

Yep, back in the 80's Ko Propo was easily found in the catalogs of Tower Hobbies.

JR was big in the surface world back in the 90s and early 2000s. I had a few and liked the feel and interface of them over Futaba.

Hobbico is so friggin broke they can't even find someone to make ads that show the right brand. Lol

I didn't realize Arrma made the scx10.2.

I got one in e-mail from Tower that said “test”in the heading. It had a bunch of wonky characters where prices should have been. I deleted it thinking it was spam.

Looking back, the personal phone call from the Tower rep back in December doesn’t seem so weird, just sad that they have nothing to sell that I want to buy. If they Get that Axial Blazer in stock, & it isn’t disappointing, then I’d be happy to order from you Tower.
