hi, this is a great forum, i am thinking on buying a cc01 either the pajero or the wrangler, (the light kit with it being the main attractor) :P anyway, i want to make it a scale crawler and i have been reading through this forum for like 48 hours straight, just some Questions,

if i were to get a slower motor or a gear reduction would i have to change the tamiya esc that is with the kit?

and when raising the front suspension is there anyway to stop the wheels from cambering in?

cheers!

The stock tammy ESC may have a motor turn limitation, but I believe a few people using cc-01s for scale and crawling use the stock ESC and stock 540 motor with a 4:1 reduction.

To eliminate camber you will have to replace the stock, fixed length upper suspension links with ball-link rods/turnbuckles.

a trail truck would b great too, the reason for this is my mum as built a great little rock desplay in the garden and i want to make a trail from it, but i dont want that jumpy fast speed, i want it nice and slow, i was thinking in putting revolver shackles on it

im in the same boat, i want the same setup you are describing, where do you plan on getting your cc01 from? i can only find them in hong kong

Any place that sells motors should be able to get motors in the 45, 55, 65 and even 75 turn range. Years ago they were harder to come by, but now every hobby shop has them.

Gear reduction, I really like my RC4wd 4:1 unit. Simple and one of the few items that have not made it to my broken shelf.

The stock ESC is okay. If you want the effect of a drag brake and want to keep the stock ESC, get a gear reduction unit. I run an old school ESC without a drag brake and the gear reduction unit works really well for stopping the light weight rig.... almost too well.

There won't be too much happening with the small amount that you can actually lift the front suspension. To keep it simple, leave the stock setup but just preload the front shocks.

I trust RCMart, have used them many times. If I hadn't just bought some other things locally, I would have ordered from them.
