I wish i would have taken pictures of the thanksgiving meal i made, it looked great and tasted even better.

not as great as i had hoped. I just sliced it sloppily and threw it on the grill..... im guessing i missed some kind of prep or just didnt cook it enough. It was SUPER tart.

I've been making these everyday for about a week.

Fried egg, vintage cheddar with black pepper, spinach, avocado and hot English
mustard on rye bread.

Washed down with a bullet of- ice, filtered water, grapes, cucumber, spinach and sometimes
either banana or avocado or plain yogurt.

Going from eating shit or nothing at all to basically living on this feels
like i'm on meth (energy etc). Cut down on the drinking which helps.

I have been craving something similar to this since I saw the pic. So for lunch today I made one with fried egg, guacamole, Red leaf, green leaf, arugula, spinach, beef steak tomato, on whole wheat. Yum!

Couple months ago I had gone to a production bakery and the owner told me that brown bread has only 15 -25% wheat flour and the rest is white flour, otherwise the dough won't rise.
The way they market brown bread is as if its made from wheat flour only. It hardly makes any difference consuming brown or white bread. Both jam the stomach.

I could care less about how it is marketed. There is a definite difference in taste and texture. I would not make a BLT (sour dough or focaccia), PBJ (butter top white, egg bread, brioche) or grilled cheese (any white bread) on a brown bread. But something like I had for lunch today the more earthy flavor and grainy texture of a brown bread adds to the experience.

speaking of grilled cheese, has anybody tried it with mayo instead of butter?

It sounds gross at first but most people think you slather it on. If you just spread it super thin it makes for awesome grilled cheese

I also started cooking them on a george foreman grill..... so much better

I also never used to like brown breads for certain things, like PB&J, but now I can't stand the taste of white bread. It's like a mouth full of doughy nothingness, no flavor whatsoever.

My mom used to buy i Pepperidge farm(i think)whole wheat bread and it was awesome as toast with preserves on it but now she's on the weird disc bread kick and I can't stomach that stuff. Now a nice Italian loaf sliced thick that's how you make a sandwich.
