Food/Cooking

Oh yes, how I've missed the flavors of Old Bay. So good I had enough of it to smell it all day as I was sweating it out my pores.

Old Bay is great, I keep a shaker of it on the table instead of salt. I'm also partial to J.O. Spice company x-hot crab seasoning ( lots of cayenne pepper in it) I'll send you some if you want to try it.

Here's a question for yeee New Englanders.

hey, ask who can recommend a good place for a hot lobster roll w/butter, NO ****ING MAYO BS WHICH IS A CRIME AGAINST LOBSTER

i'll be in boston, cape cod and along the southern ME/NH/MA coasts

It'd be wicked ahhhsome if anyone could help.

Depends how far up the coast ya plan to get.

Cape Cod area in Mass is OK for some sweat juicy clams, but not the best for lobster. If you get a GOOD lobster around there.... It most likely came from a bit North up the coast.

Living here for so long I have become biased and believe the Hampton Beach, N.H. Area native lobsters are above all else hands down.

If you are on the coast around Hampton area in NH and have time to drive along Rt. 101, or Rt 1A.... You are in lobster heaven.

Avoid the fancy shiny buildings with neon signs and billboards the size of a Greyhound bus. Watch for the little Mom & Pop weather beaten fish shacks with a couple family operated beat up lobster boats tied to the tilted falling down dock out back.
THOSE are where you will find the lobsters that you will remember forever and ruin all future lobsters you eat, as none will ever measure up like those.
Caught that morning, cooked by loving family hands, and sold at a realistic price.

No substitute for sitting in a sea worn shack eating butter soaked fresh lobster that melts in your mouth while you listen to sea stories from the guy who caught them. Sureeeeeee the stories may be stretched a wee bit, but cool none the less"thumbsup"

When are you planning to be up this way?

.

En route!

Got it! Thanks man! That's got some kick to it! Tastes a bit like Old Bay and a boat load of cayenne pepper. It will be used often. "thumbsup"

In fact, I'll go slather up a pork chop with it right now...

?? I just mailed it on Wednesday.

Well, I'm glad that you enjoy it. Their website is on the label, you can order direct from them. Get a lb of shrimp and steam them w/ this seasoning, it's a great meal!

Hmmm, Natty Ice steamed Shrimp with J.O. NO. 1 X-HOT with flied lice.

That could be on a Japanese food menu somewhere in Baltimore.

Baltimore was a fun trip...they have crabs everywhere. Never has I seen a party store selling fresh quality meats (I mean bottom barrel liquor party store). But in Baltimore everywhere to looked bushels of crabs at low end liquor stores. Was only a bummer I was in hotels and unable to make my own. The restaurants did a good job though, so I guess that'll work.

Natty Ice is fifty cents a can and has 5.9%. Easy on the wallet and habits shouldn't cost you much. I bought a $10 six pack of Avery IPA in cans tonight, too.

BT, you talking about the girls in Baltimore?
