Fenders not lining up Gen 8

I just purchased a gen 8 and my chassis fenders and body fenders do not lineup. The body is 1/4 shorter than wheel wells on chassis. Just switched to magnets and no workie. Thought it was a Velcro issue. Truck is 1 week old. No mods.

I am planning on trimming rear end of rear body fenders (where they curve down) in order to get it to sit flush.

Is there anything else I can do as far as adjustments?

Anybody else have this problem?

You could try to loosen the scrws holding the fender flairs and wheel wells to the body and see if you fan fudge them a little if not contact redcat customer service and see if they will make it right

I sort of had this issue with my Gen8. I ended up re-drilling the holes for the rear flares in the lexan body to move it by 2mm. Mine line up perfect now. It's really YMMV though. Really inconsistent issues between everyone's Gen8.

Ya I took the fenders apart and I can’t re- drill it. It is that far off. Fenders won’t hide it the old holes. I spent an hour or more with the dremel shaving just below the cross bracket on the body fenders. Pretty lame. Still does not fit right. Emailed company and will be placing call too.

If The images worked you can see how far the holes are off by peering through the opposite window.

Customer service said try loosening the chassis fenders and see if there is any give. Body fitment is not perfect. Basically loosen screws and fudge it. It’s too bad there was not better QC on this from the factory. A loose body is actually a really crappy problem. Especially now that I have lights

That looks like the rear... you might have to adjust the front fenders too by a little to give you more leeway for the rear.

You'll need to shift the actual lexan body back.
