F-100 Boat Puller... the "Grave-Robber"

That wheelie bar turned out great along with the rest of this truck. "thumbsup" Nice job. What brazing rod did you use?

Thank You 8) It's a mild-steel rod that seems to be copper-plated. I think that helps with soldering. I got it from the local farm/hardware store. It was about 1/3 the cost of brass rod, and I thought it might be stronger. I haven't test-run it yet, but it seems to be working well so far. :)

Where's the updates? I still wanna seen you drag race with the boat...

Hey, I said up front that I'm slow. ;-) Didn't get a lot done on her today, had other chores. But I did get some clear shot on the body-fix, and silver on the 'bars. Then after cutting about 15 pieces , I had some "tires" cut from silicone hose.

Latest mock-up, I think they look like scale "urethane" wheelie-wheels. :ror:

Oh, and no draggin' with the boat yet :lmao:... but I did get a pair of 3S ordered too, so now I'll have some lipo "NOS" to try in both rigs.

The wheelie bars look the part. Truck came out good for a recreation. Will be a good addition as a puller for that awesome boat you built. What is next to come for your creative mind?

Ohhh here is where it gets interesting!

Aww, c'mon now, it'll just get MORE interesting. ;-)

Thanks 8), hopefully they'll work the part too. Hey, some weekends a guy wants to go to the track .... other times, to the lake.
As for what's next ... hmmm. As a card-carrying member of the Lunatic Fringe, (everybody got their dues paid up?) I'm just waiting for the next inspiration.

I don't pay dues... Now im just waiting for a video (wink wink)

I may already have some embarrassing videos online. I don't need to add more. Have faith, I wanna make sure there's something worth watching first. 8)

nice!"thumbsup" how high does the nose go up when it wheelies?

Thanks , I don't have the wheelie-bars mounted yet (had to work this afternoon) so right now it will scrape the tail-end, trying to flip. "thumbsup" I'm looking to get it to carry the front wheels about 1-in. to 1.5-in. off the ground. The wheelie's will be adjustable by about 1/2 in. or so. ;-)

Got the wheelie's mounted (after a couple of mod's to them) so it's getting closer to "ready". :)

The rear mount is also a hitch/bumper mount, but I set it up so the wheelie-bars swivel at the rear and I mounted the front to the chassis with long screws and rubber bushings (fuel hose) so they can be adjusted to raise or lower the wheels.

I just use a rod thru the rear hanger, so with it and the 2 front screws, they're easily removable. :D

I did a couple quick test-runs down at the highway and AAAWOOOOO!!! With a partly used 2S it was pullin' some decent launches, so it's got some major FUN potential! :D
I've got to go to town this afternoon, so I'm charging the 2S (AND the gopro ;) ) and I'll find a clean, empty parking lot and try to get a short vid'.

Ok, lets see if I can get the link right.
Here's a short vid'. :) watch close, it happens pretty quick. The gopro has bad "fisheye", it actually runs really straight. :)

and one from the front corner.

Still lots to finish, and I gave her the first road-rash. A marble sized rock did the tip & flip and she slid on the roof for a few feet. AAAAArrrrrrrrrrrgh ... oh well ... trophy. :)
