Byb comp today and the car drove really well went exactly where I pointed her. Although some times I was pointing to the wrong line. Hehehe. I think I'm going to go down one tooth on pinion motors felt a touch jumpy today.

I pulled my stubbies in favor of my cobalts that I usually run in my super for our comp on Saturday. It is brutal traction and binding and that made them an awesome choice.

I ran a 12t pinion and the car has never had such great start up. It was a bit slow but mine are 35t.

Have you programmed your throttle curves in your ESC? That is the one single thing I cannot stand about the 6ex, no throttle expo.

I have programmed the esc, maybe it settled them enough at first but they need to be fine tuned a little more.

The super strong drag break alomst bit me today when I let off the throttle to quick on a down hill. Car did one of these..... yikes.

Its been a month since my last update. But its been all tuning work. After a great day on the rocks at BYB's comp I'm feeling like I've made some strides in the right direction. Shorter upper links and some tuned up BR Minis.

FYI these minis have really smoothed out these crazy power plants!

Agreed. These smaller motors with smaller ESCs lack resistance to turning like the BRSL/540 combo making for far more forgiving on/off throttle transitions. I never though I'd like less torque but I do. This amped down setup far more subtle and controllable.

I'm really impressed with the geometry you have set up. Your suspension looks really nice and flexible, love the way that the crawler moves.

It does flow quite well. The only thing holding it back now is driver. Although I think my front shocks ware pretty empty by now. I need to check. Go go scx10 shocks"thumbsup"

Thanks for the encouraging words!

I feel ya on the rig being set-up winning worthy but the driver is slacking . :lmao: mine performs better with BB's rather than the scx10's

If your getting scx10 shocks make sure to look at the Rcbro shock bodies. I've been so happy with mine

So to fix my leaky shocks I

Fit 3 orings in shock pack
Changed to assoiciated shock shafts part #6418
And found some shock bladders from a helion shock rebuild kit. Part #hlna0013

Hopefully this can slow leakage!

Cant decide if I want to vent wheels and foams or vent the tires.

Tough call. I'd typoically suggest venting the tire when using the closed cell inners as they make the rim pretty air tight, but with the extremely thin wall construction of the voodoo, you are likely to tear the tire.

You may want to vent the rim and the the inner as well.
