So i get to the front motor and find this.... a big awe crap. The other two segment gaps are a little damaged but not this bad. Im surprised it even worked still. Anyways. I had a set of 5 slot 16t that i threw in for Worlds...... not the best scenario but the motors are similar only thing I've noticed so far is the light drag break and holding power as i dig on a steep incline. Gotta keep that rear pressure on with my right stick.
Thats nasty and the timing is disappointing. I'm running 16t in a couple of scalers and the start up is smooth and they have lots of power on the top end that should work for you. I've thought about 16t motors for my pro more than once I'm running 13t HH Pullers currently. Good luck at the Worlds. "thumbsup"
Judging was in the heat was a B! But I was glad to offer my services to help out the community.
Worlds Highlights in no particular order:
1. 117* on the rocks for most of the day.
2. Building with my BYB brothers the Worlds Finals Course (that was both challenging and doable)
3. Helping ZZR Racer beat me by helping him with a judges call.
4. Having Dlux as my pit crew to fix a loose pinion while on course. (every 2pt progression counts)
5. Sticking some sick super lines.
6. Placing 15th with this rig and 7th in Super
7. Getting to BS with some world class people.
Too many highlights for me to mention..
Buuutttttt, one of the big ones that's still driving my inspiration, Was... You hooking the controls up, for easier use, on the mini Super!
Thanks mang!
I'll see you next year, to try and bump you down a notch on super... Lmao!!!!
Woah.... been a crazy fall and spring and not much has changed on this rig. The season opener started with a broken radio making the rig impossible to drive thus ruining my other wise good day of driving.
All season I've been finishing at the end of a comp day in the middle to low middle of the pack as a result of one issue or another. Mostly psyching myself out and getting the yips causing driver error. I couldn't be happier with the performance of my crawler. The smoothness of the 16t is somthing I wasnt sure about when I set out for worlds.
Anyways for the first time since Best of the West last April the car and driver were in sync and I placed 2nd at a BYB comp. A huge win in my book considering these are some of the best drivers in the country. I hit and held 95% of my lines left two bonus gates behind due to time and was beat by Burbo by -17 pts.
Great time! Wish I had some pictures from the comp there were some truly gnarly lines.
Another positive note: I spent nearly all day Friday working on my super. Rewiring front to back, a motor switch, part mod, followed by an esc reprogram its fianlly working the way it should and the car feels really really nice. A bit fast still but smooth and controlable.
Ive been having a bit of motor stall latley so i figured it was time these 16ts got a freshen up before BOTW..... this always seems to be my down fall. The motor needed new brushes for sure. One was broken and im sure the spring had a tough time applying pressure. The timing ring was bent....... no problem i got a spare in another motor... cut the comm.... looking beautiful mirror finishon my very last pass.... something to write home about... BAM! The edge of one segment bit the tool and........ugh
