Crawl Space's Isuzu Amigo Class 1 build (STRC)

Liking this build. The body is awesome.

Thank you sir "thumbsup" Yes, I jumped on the amigo body the second I saw it up for sale. For this build it's going to be nothing but the best for my "buddy" ;-)

Speaking of the best - just ordered an aluminum tranny gearset and axial underdrive for the rear axle. After checking out Eddie's 3x Cloned TF2 thread I'm thinking about foams for this guy now.

I just put the CI Growler foams in mine. I used the soft foams and it made a huge difference over the stock and modied foams I was using.

I'm thinking of stretching my 1.55 Growlers over 1.9s. Seems to be the fad now.

Nice build man! Definitely a fan of solid axle amigos, can't wait to see when it's finished and some trail photos

Here's mine...wish they could run together, would make for some great pics...

I personally like the 1.55 steelies you have on there. My bronco runs meds in back and soft up front. I'll probably end up going that route on the Amigo, but not until I weigh it fully decked out.

Thanks man!

That's a sweet rig! You should come visit California and crawl around the state 8)

I love the steelies, especially now that they're starting to rust. Idk, just wanting to try different stuff.

I think the Gear Head Champs would look sweet if you wanted to go with a 1.9. You should get some cool scale hubs for the steelies though.

Got the ax10 universals in - what a difference!

Any updates?

Lol, yeah, I broke the cvds in my bronco and robbed the amigo. Back to dog bones for now. My buddy who is fabbing the CMS has been sick and swamped at work so I've put this project on the back burner temporarily.

I did get the links trimmed a bit to bring the wheelbase in some. I will probably have to cut the body a little bit but I want to wait until I have steering before I commit.

I'll probably put the weights in the wheels soon though and wire up all the electrics. Thanks for checking in "thumbsup"

Yup - just need to set the timing and clean it up a bit. Got all my flysky receivers pre-bound as well. I may weight the wheels today too. Oh, and I'm picking up an M3 tap for sure "thumbsup"

Any updates on this

Yes! It now has a prototype "Bongsten" CMS. Once the geometry is perfected it will be machined for a finished Bongsten look.

Also, 3oz. In each front tire. Going to put the other pack of weights in the rear wheels this weekend. I hope to have it running on Sunday!

I also made shorter rear links to bring the wheelbase to about 9.5". More updates coming soon, I promise!!!

Sundays are generally good for me - maybe end of November or early December?
