He was in prison, his record was wiped clean which allowed him to pass a background check, he was kicked out of the military and collage because he was not mentally fit. Medical records should be included in background checks, this shooting and the shooting at Virgina tech could have been prevented.

If someone is seen as mentally unfit thay should not be able to purchase a firearm unless they are cleared, it wouldnt be like a felony if you got one it can never be taken off type of deal.

My understanding is felonies stick,and if its not a felony,my understanding is he would still be able to own a firarm.

Applied to the current topic, the fact is that a mentally deranged person killed and wounded people, some civilians, some government officials, at a Democratic biased event. The opinion is that it was spurred on by extreme right wing hate speech. The talk is what we and many other groups of people around the country are doing right now. Opinion and talk have no effect on fact.

CNN is a news outlet. Biased or not, they report news. Fox is also a news outlet, but have many opinionated talk shows which report "news" and their opinion of it. Bill Maher does not have a news show. He has a comedic talk show and discusses current events with a panel that may or may not agree with him.

Also, find some CNN reporters or anchors or talk show hosts that contradict themselves or backpedal as much as what you will find on Fox. That is why they have little credibility outside their core fanbase.

The opinion and talk DO have an effect on the fact,if not then there would be no reason not to allow jurrers to watch the news about thier cases.
See the jurnalist instictivley slant a story accourding to thier opinion/persective.This slant,becomes part of the fact,people watch,and absorb that fact,slant included.A jurnalsit may listen to talk,that then affects the way they percieve the fact aswell.Then they report thier new slant on the fact.

When I was younger,fox was not there,I would get my news from the available sources (LIBERAL MEDIA) and as I mentioned above,they would instictlivly add thier slant/perspective.
