Colorado Rally Championship 2014

Darn, if few enough people are in group one, I think I'll use a 10th scale Tamyia(spelling).

I looked it up, and unless I can find a nice used deal, I can't afford this kind of stuff! Dang its expensive!

Someone else should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that in order to have a class/group R we'd need a minimum of 5 drivers. I count maybe 3?
-ikiaka
-allen (maybe) (I saw allen at colpar's contemplating a Kemora)
-Osi (christmas time)

I don't think number decals are required.

I don't have any loaners...

Turtle will be able to answer these questions much better.

Thanks for the help Kirt! "thumbsup"

Group R:
The class is open now, we had 6+ people ask for it. So it will be run all season despite the numbers. I plan to get one as well pretty soon. I test drove The Crawl Space loaner and it was really fun, plus there are tons of body options. :ror:

Numbers also are not yet required on the vehicles. They will be required for the stage rally we plan to run early in 2014. Having said that they really add to the photos and make rig identification really easy so I strongly recommend them. The Crawl Space or Gary can hook you up for all car numbers if you ask them.

I will look through my stuff and figure out if I still have all the parts to put the loaner car together.

You may want to look for a used car. They can be found between 100.00 and 200.00 often RTR. And sometimes even cheaper. I picked up a DF03Ra earlier this year as a roller for 40.00 (I think)

Yay, I can go cheap with the Kemora! Thank you!:ror::ror::ror:

Not too sure it was "help"... I posted because I realized Osi came here from /r/rccars due to the CRC post I made there. He said he lived in CO and I told him to check out this thread. Welcome Osi!

Whaat!? is this part of the series? Please post dates asap. I must get off work for that.

.....

If I can help with spare parts for a loaner, just post what's needed and maybe the community can come up with a decent loaner. I certainly don't have a full rig but I'm more than willing to contribute, small parts, wheels, tires, etc...

....

Again, Giant Thanks to everyone involved with the series. It's all I can think about, and it's awesome.

.

It will be if I can get the course together yes. I will definitely need some help getting it going though.

The dates are on the calendar. It will either be the January date or the February one. Just depends on the weather and if the course is done.

Alright sorry for the delay guys! Here are the scores with place and number. If you have the same place it means you had the same number of wins as the other person of that place and you both got out in the same bracket. Your place transfers to series points on the series totals, which I will post after the second race of the series. If there are any questions about this please ask. Also if there is a blank in the Race # section please let me know what you want for a race number.

Thanks again everyone for coming out! "thumbsup"

Thanks for getting me here, cuz I was bummed when Unser closed their track. Now I have new (RC related) purpose! 8)

I *might* make it to the December race.
If I can convince my parents it's a worthy early Christmas gift!
I can't wait to see the track in person.

I do have a extra TB-01 if someone want to "use" it at the races. I cant loan it out but anyone is glad to use it on race days. there is no light kit for it (for the night race next month). but she runs like a champ. just hit me up first come first serve. "thumbsup"

Got the editing done on the video please enjoy... sorry no music

This video is is intended to be played with the song "Ways to Go" by Grouplove. If you start the song at 0:15, just after seeing the bear, it will sink up with the video. stupid copyright

Grouplove - "Ways to Go" [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO] - YouTube

Getting tired of making a videos with good music only to have them "disabled for viewing" or "blocked in some countries" and total blocked for viewing.

I will make a DVD of all race seasons videos at the end of the season for any one who wants one. The videos on the DVD will have the music the I used in the original videos. If any wants a copy of the video before then, just let me know "thumbsup" its so much better with the music.

On the subject of getting the stage course together.....

I'm more than willing to help work on the stage track. Just give me a few days notice and I can try my best to get off work and meet you there (I do live in BV, so that's an issue).

If we have 2-3 guys working two full days (maybe a saturday here and a saturday there), Could we have it done? Could it be done in a weekend?

I know I could do any of these days if they match up with anyone else...
Sunday Nov, 17 (day after night race).
Weekend Nov 31/Dec 1.
Weekend Dec 7/8
Saturday Dec 14th (race #3 is Sunday the 15th)
I also get random weekdays off sometimes...

Also, most importantly, how many scale bears do we need?

I will most certainly buy a DVD at the end of the season.

There free for the price of admission. Just pay the race fee each time "thumbsup"

X2 Paul! Would be very cool to have some videos on DVD. I can come over and help with adding commentary if you want. :ror:

That would be cool, i am going to do a POV video of each track this season. it might be cool to do a voice over like a co-driver with track notes.

here is the first one:

Yeah I think that would work. If we had 3 or 4 guys I think it could be done in a day maybe two. Hell even a couple gas weed wackers would make pretty short work of most of it. There are just a few spots we need to "smooth out".

Right now I'm not sure what days I can do. I think I am getting a "real job" and I have no idea what the schedule will be.

Right now though I can't do most saturday mornings or Dec. 14th. But the rest look ok for the time being I should know more in the next week or two.

Just found the flyer for this at a hobby store today. Have raced here and there but I'm basically a total beginner. I'm also on a tight budget. Was looking to get into it, but had a few questions about a good budget starter car. Would an Exceed RC DriftStar with a rally conversion be an ok starter?
