I ordered a CMX from Asia Tees and I have a few questions. The kit is only $177 right now but I got a weird request to send a picture of myself with my credit card. Has anyone ordered from Asia Tees and how did it go? Also I can't seem to find out what size wheels and tires come with the kit, can someone tell me? Im building with a Tamiya Sand Scorcher body and the kit lists 4 different wheelbases, does the kit come with links for all 4 wheelbases? Finally, what size hexes come with the kit for mounting the wheels? Thanks for any answers you can provide!

I have ordered from AsiaTees before and I never had to send a picture. Not sure what that is all about. I typically use PayPal where I can instead of handing out my credit card. The kit does come with different links to make the varied wheelbases. It uses a standard 12mm hex on the wheels. 1.9 wheels and tires.

That's weird as hell! Creepy even. But AsiaTees is a legit site.

Asiatees IS a legit place to deal with.

However.... the whole picture thing is a bit ODD to say the least.

Thinking maybe you hit some sort of bogus site that was running a false/bogus front page on the payment section to illegally grab and steal payment info from people?????

Surely worth a call or individual unique email to asiatees asking/telling them what happened.

If it was me, I’d be a bit nervous of what’s to come in the future with use of your info.

RC Mart requested the same thing last time I planned on ordering something from there despite having placed several orders before. It was weird and made me decide it was worth paying a little more somewhere else.

All is good! Shipping was quick and they are including the Boomracing rubber sealed performance bearings and a Boomracing 17t pinion for free right now. I got my $170 worth. I'm surprised at the quality of the kit for what it costs. It is almost entirely plastic but the moulding is really clean and I have not had to trim any excess plastic beyond the sprues. I think Asiatees and RCMart might be the same company...I never bought anything from RCMart but since my order from Asiatees I have recieved some sales emails from RCMart.
