The build looks great! I just got my shock bodies the other day, hope to have them built this weekend. Couple questions if you don't mind. Do you feel the machined pistons are a must? What bladders are you using? I also have this chassis and can't wait to rebuild my ti-fighter truck. Thanks Ty.

Yes the machined pistons are a must IMO they are actually larger in diameter then the stock piston and the bodies diameter is an exact match. With a stock piston there will be an air gap creating issues with performance.

I have to agree the machine Pistons are a must, the fit and finish is amazing. You are going to be so happy. Right now I'm not running any bladders but at some point I'm going to pick some up and try them out, see what I think. The other thing I did with my shocks is drill a 1/16 inch hole in the shock cap so I can bleed my shocks. I wish I did this along time ago.

After playing submarine I'm having some electrical issues. So I'm going to need Tom's help on this one. The best thing I can do before asking for help is make sure Tom has a nice clean workstation and some beer in the refrigerator.

I had some free time this afternoon to polish my links. I wish I could get a photo that really shows the shine.

The process I use to polish my links is a few simple steps. I use some 600 grit sandpaper and really sandown the links. After that I use some high shine compound polish. I've used different types and brands of polish. I usually get something that I find at Lowe's. I apply the compound to the polishing wheel on the bench grinder. The polishing wheel is something I also pick up at Lowe's. The downfall to this is it makes a mess, if you look at my workbench you can see that I have a big red spot. That's because I use a red compound. Here is a picture of bench grinder with the polishing wheel

Sucks when your truck gets jacked, but at least I took some pictures "thumbsup" Truck looks and feels great JB, nicely done.
Thanks for the pictures, I love them. It's not very hard to turn your products into a sweet crawler. To be completely honest it was the easiest chassis I have ever set up.

I had a great day at the comp. The crawler worked faultlessly and I couldn't be happier. The courses were technically difficult and challenging but doable at the same time. The weather was gorgeous and the sun came out at times. Have to say great courses, great drivers, good company lots of fun. The perfect way to spend a Sunday

I've spent a few hours this morning working on the geometry and suspension on the crawler. I added some preload to the rear shocks. This helped to make the rear of the crawler neutral. On the front of the crawler I made the front upper links longer and change the hole on the upper link mount. There is no preload on the front shocks. These few changes sure has help make the front suspension neutral. The only problem I'm running into is the upper links are making contact with the motor not allowing for full cycle of the suspension. The front upper links may need to be remade with a bend that will clear the motor and clear the chassis brace, not going to be an easy bend. I have included a few pictures that show the amount of preload that I have on my RcBro shock bodies.
