The first thread of Bmows that I saw mention of those plates and where to get them cost me $40 so far lol.

:lmao: You're both welcome!:ror:

Hey @Gramps, wait till you see what else they sell! You'll be spending a lot more money in the future!:ror:

Seriously though, they have some really nice scale items. I love their selection of different style of plates and scale stickers.

The weather outside has brought me inside today. And the best place I know of to spend the day is at the hobby bench.

Small update on the small Bronco. Not so much on the rig itself, but an "ease of operation" update to the stock TQ transmitter. Picked up DSM Off-Road Steering Thumb Wheel to help out in one-handed driving.

Simply remove the screw holding on the old wheel and reinstall the new thumb wheel. I did at some tiny bling to it and silver Sharpie'd the the molded wheel lugs and added a stainless steel screw to hold it all on.

This new thumb wheel should allow for easier filming while driving one-handed. Hoping to get the little guy outside to get some footage of it out on the rocks soon! Though if I wait too long, I'll have to install a snow blade and tire chains!

Sweet, keep us updated with vids. We have 20cm snow here already… 1 inch = 2,5cm. Been driving on my indoor course, and all I gotta say it isn’t impressive…

Every time I look at your scale garage, I get happy! It looks sooo sweet 8)

Man, I don’t have a TRX4M yet, but I do want a white Bronco.

In regards to snow, we’ve had a stormy late Nov/early Dec. the snow storm last week brought 2-1/2 feet and another storm is supposed to drop 12 to 18 inches tonight. I’ll be home in a few days to see how things are going and possibly start building the winter course through the front yard.

Whoa!! I'm not ready for that much snow yet! We've been lucky here. So far temps have stayed above freezing and we've only had a trace of snow a couple times.

These TRx-4m's are cool little rigs. I'm sure you'll love it once you get one!

Quick FYI. I bought a set of Injora 1.0 tires to try out. They are sticky and feel good and come with foams. Tread pattern looks very similar to the 1.9 KLR's.

The FYI is for the fitment on the Traxxas 1.0 beadlock wheels. The bead on the tire is smaller than the Traxxas tires and the bead will not hold once they are tightened down.

Also picked up the Defender body kit and some wheels at the last trip to the LHS. I'm going to attempt to chop the top and turn it into a truck in the near future.

FYI Brian, The Defender body will not fit on the Bronco chassis with the Bronco bumpers installed. Other than that it's fine.

I know Traxxas like to make/sell their own stuff but I think they missed the boat when they made their wheels and tires what I would call non standard. Almost all other 1" wheels and tires are interchangeable.

Thanks for the info! My LHS didn't have the Defender bumpers in stock when I bought the body. If they don't have them in stock when I get the body done, I'll just remove the Bronco bumpers and run it without until I can get a set.

Yeah, I agree on the wheels and tires. It would have been nice if they would have made them compatible with aftermarket. I did see that the bead on the Traxxas tires can be cut down to install on aftermarket wheels.

Talked to the wife and we received 16" of fresh snow last night and it is still snowing today :)

I plan to wait till after the holidays to make sure there is not already one under the tree somewhere. :lmao: She said I was getting something special, so I will be patient and see what her and her little elves have brought me.

If there is not one under the tree, or hidden in the house somewhere, I will visit the LHS to see what they have. I have some points saved up there which will help offset the cost a little.

Keep all the updates coming man, as I am living vicariously through you!!!

Hey B-MOW, if that is the unpainted body then you are good. The unpainted Defender body comes with the Defender bumpers as well.

You can also use the Traxxas inner rings to mount Traxxas tires on aftermarket wheels. SSD rings are just a bit to small to fit Traxxas wheels though. Not sure on other brands.

Hey thanks Phyro! Just opened the bag of the unpainted Defender and sure enough, both front and rear bumpers are there! Relief! I thought that they would come separately.

Good info on the rings! I haven’t tried aftermarket wheels on the Traxxas tires yet.

Hey, sounds like you may have some good news under the tree! If not, hopefully the hobby shops will get a big re-supply after the first of the year.

Will do! Thanks for tuning in!!;-)

Yes sir, looks to be! I'm about an hour north of Columbus off of I-71.

If your from Dayton then we may have attended the same event in the past. I went to Team KNK TTC 5 & 6 back in 2018 & 2019.

Edit: Just noticed you are from a Dayton, AZ not Dayton, OH!

I hope so my friend. One, or two of the things I have been discussing are very doable and the other is a pretty far stretch. But... I have really been "beating the dead horse" on what RC's I want :lmao:

Keep up with the awesome posts man "thumbsup"
