Just wanted to check in and intro myself.
Name is Chris (people just call me Fink), live in Orlando and just now getting back into R/C. I've owned a couple E-Maxx/T-Maxx' and my original R/C was my Associated RC10T3. Awesome little car.
Ordered my first crawler last week, SCX10 Honcho RTR with two Gens Ace 5000mAh 40C 2S1P batteries and a Thunder AC680 - all after reading through pages and pages of info on this board.
Seems like a great site - I look forward to learning as much as I can. Oh, and don't worry about searching, I'm a Mod on another forum and I'm a searchaholic.

Hey man can u tell me the part number of the 2s lipos u bought and charger?
What did all that run you? And would it be ok to run in a stock wraith
I believe it was $114 with free shipping.
For the Wraith I'm not sure - these batteries come with female Banana 4.0 connectors on them, and both your Wraith and my SCX10 come with Tamiya connectors so you will have to decide which direction you want to go.
I will be going with Deans, I just have to decide whether I am comfortable enough to convert them myself (cut/solder) or if I want to get adapters for them.

My wraith is already converted to deans end, best way to go of u askme. What's the difference in 25c and 40c cause that's the only thing stoping me from buying em now
Check this out for everything you need to know about R/C lipo batteries.
Scroll down about 1/4th of the page and look for the "DISCHARGE RATE" section for an explanation the "C" rating. Generally, the higher the "C" rating the better; from what I have read anyway.
Did you have a hard time converting your Wraith over? I'm a little scared given that I'm such a newb to this stuff.

No just heated en up and sautered em,
Without fail, everyday we get tons of newbies posting that they have arrived at our site. While this is great and we welcome you, we don't need a thread for every single person.
If you start a thread like that someone will most likely send you to this thread.
Give us the general info:
Who you are?
What kind of rig you have?
Where you live?
If you have a specific question, be sure to use the search feature, and look around. There is a good chance it's been asked before, if not bring it on!
