Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

I got a clod axle based torsion rig off evil bay , after looking on here for many hours, the other day cant wait for it to arrive

Hey all yep Im new so here is a small run down.

Give us the general info: - I have just started in RC cars after a 7-10 year break. Want to really have fun with them and interact with others who like these
Who you are? - My name is Steve and the user name was a nickname given to me by a 4yr old that had problems saying Stephen.
What kind of rig you have? - I have a HSP crawler which I have been advised today is a Axial knock-off. Oh well its still doing what I want. I also have 2 monster trucks 1x nitro and 1x electric, 1x Tamiya Pajero on its way to being a crawler and a GV nitro car. Not a bad collection as I only started two months ago.
Where you live? - I live in Hobart which is the capital city of Tasmania, Australia.

Not finding many ppl doing this here yet so will just have to wait for now and go out on my own or take the 7yr old daughter. She loves them as well, cant stop her once she starts doing doughnuts.:)

Hello Everyone

My name is Tom, I have been lurking and reading a ton for about a month.
I started back into rc just over a year ago and run 1/8 scale Nitro.
I just picked up my first crawler on Tuesday and just finished putting it together and modding it already. I will post some pics soon.

My new rig is an Axial AX10 Scorpian ARTR.
Novak Rooster esc and motor
Old JR Z650 servo for now until I pick up a new one
Spectrum DX3.0 radio

Mods so far include:
Comp build - see here
Wheels - Added 7.5 to front and 3.0 to rear, sipped tires
Moved esc to front upper links and receiver to rear links
Removed stock battery tray and added front axle battery tray

Now its time to play.

9/23/09
Information Update:
I have now changed the tires to HB Rovers (soft) and they work great.
Lowered the stock body, moved it a little forward and trimmed it a bunch more.
Changed the ride height from 3-1/4" to bottom of chassis to 2-5/8" and still working on ride stiffness as to where it should be.
Replaced a few front axle pieces, C-hubs, Universal Joints and added VP High Steer Knuckles (prepping for BTA).

what's up, n00b here. I'm 22, student at UNCW about to graduate with a finance degree. I'm tired of all the local wheeling spots getting closed down leaving the only place for me to take my jeep over 2 hrs away other than the beach, so i decided i wanted to get an rc crawler. I've been looking and have narrowed it down to an axial ax10 losi mini crawler or tamiyia cc01. I want something to scale so it still looks nice, and eventually will try to get a cherokee body for it. I know nothing right now but hopefully that will change pretty soon

Hello.....

Hi guys!! I'm really a newbie... I'm living in Barcelona, Spain so, sorry because my English is not too good:-(. I want to make my first RC with a 1/6 scale Willys. I've been seeing your pages for a few hours and there is a lot of things that can understand, your adds are very explanatory... But I've a lot of questions still, and hope that somebody can help me with this first proyect. Best regards from Barcelona!!!!"thumbsup"

sup all

my name is collin, i just started into the rc crawler hobby and lovin it!! i am currently running an Axial AX10 scorpion chassis with 3 available bodies till i get the scorpion kit to use one of the bodies. my my current chassis i purchased the 83 ramcharger with the cgr cage from proline, as well as the frame extensions and western bumpers and verticle body mount posts. should get that in soon. i also have a 79 chevy stepside body and will get the axial interior kit for that, will make a nice rock basher. the stock body ill use for something else. im basically lookin to make some new friends that are into this and just wanting to have fun and hang out.

Hello. Newbie here. Just picked a used 1:6 Nylint crawler over the weekend. Got a second battery, remote and charger from different guy who fried his Nylint and sold them to me. Fresh battery in the remote and a full charge on the battery in the Jeep. In high gear and frequencies on the same setting on remote and Jeep it will lurch ahead, pause lurch ahead again etc. Steering will work but it is almost like it is on a 'time delay.' Any ideas or advice? PO made no mods to the jeep. TIA.

Hello everyone. My name is Sutyen. I just got into crawling with an ax10 that I bought used form ebay. It arrived here on thursday. I am gonna post pics soon, whenever i get my hands on a camera.

I also have a BL savage (converted before the flux), a BL rc10b4, a tamiya hummer, a clodbuster (stock, but i may make a crawler out of it soon), and the original tamiya Frog.

Hi, I'm new to crawling, but not to R/C... Been into Monster trucks and short course trucks for quite some time both electric and Nitro and recently trying electric Heli's and for the first time crawling which is getting VERY addicting !

We currently have 2 Axials
1 AX10 with a Novak 55 turn brushed motor and Sidewinder ESC
1 SCX10 with RC4WD ESC and Novak 35 turn brushed motor and 3Racing winch.

I live in Caddo Mills TX and have been reading like crazy on this site which is VERY informative.

Just a quick intro to let you all know I've been lurking for a while and finally joined..this site rocks. Hopefully I will be able to figure out how to get started. I assume most of the rigs on here are built, not bought. Some of the one's I have seen while looking around the site are INSANE.

Don't know much about anything yet, but I would be looking for I guess a 1.9 scale rig to hopefully find a body for, preferably an 07-09 Silverado I can customize to look just like my completely blacked out, lifted 07 Silverado show truck. Looking forward to learning about this hobby from this site.
