any crawlers in MN?

Hello everyone, some of you remember me as CHB. I hit a few of the roc crawling comps in Taylor Fall this year. I was the one with the tube frame in the super class. I think I was the only one with a tube frame in the super class. Anyways, I forgot my password and my registered email changed so I had to get a new screen name. I’m living in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Duluth</st1:City> now so if anyone is from <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Duluth</st1:place></st1:City> let me know and maybe we can get together. I was out of the RC scene for a while because of my relocation and everything but like to start crawling again.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

There is at least 2 of us in the Twin Ports, right over the bridge. I will be at the LSRCC track(located at the roctor Speedway) tomarro later on in the day after work. I might be looking to rideshare to the Howl Krawl?

Well, I got the Super rebuilt. New JR 8711 servos, new 65T Lathes, a new longer wb chassis, and a new body :)
Back to running both classes "thumbsup"

Kevin (Nickelpimp) and I went down to do some scouting at the Howl Krawl spot. I ended up tearing up the rear end on the High lift down in Carnage Canyon. I was hoping I could put the rebuild off until over the Winter, but she let loose early on me :-( At this time, all I have for the Howl Krawl for a scaler is my tuber. I don't think the Chevy is capable enough for much of those trails.
There is some tough lines down through Carnage Canyon for the 2.2's to tackle.

Mike, I know you've been busy working on the Yota chop, what are the chances of having that chassis done so I can get it done before Howl Krawl?

I have a friend/co-worker that has always been into models, and is mechanically inclined. I've been trying to get him out crawling with me, because I think it's something he'd enjoy. Anyway, to make a long story short, tonight he's at a new Target, and comes over with this new truck he bought, it's a New Bright Land Rover LR3. It will make a sweet scaler :lol:
I nicely tried to let him know that the New Bright won't even cut the mustard at the scale crawl on the easy trails. He knows, and wants to pick up a AX10 soon. Just try not to laugh if he doesn't have his AX10 by the Howl Krawl, and shows with his New Bright. We're going to go down and hit some trails this week, I have a feeling when he finds out just how limited of capability his New Bright has, he'll opt to get the AX10 pretty quick.

Troy, after I get some more welding done on the toyota I am going to try and bend up some rails for your truck. Once they are bent up, I should be able to weld the frame together the next day, and work on the skid plate. I will try to get enough of a chassis together so that I can bring it with to our next comp. I may ask to take it back after the howl crawl so I can finish up some details, we will see how everything goes.

Duluth crawler here

Long time lurking, first time posting. I got a slightly modded wheely king. I crawl at enger tower and skyline drive. Anything from about 40th ave west and farther west. Anyone in the area feel free to email me whenever you can get out. Hopefully meet at a comp next summer!
