any crawlers in MN?

Man I sure wish there was more than 2 events left, me and Steve are planning on the next comp but I can't seam to talk him in to making the last gtg but I am going to try to schedule a trip down with my wife and dump her off with her sister-:) Now that I have my rig all assembled and ready I don't have many excuses not to make a few more next year.

The last GTG, the Howl Krawl set for Oct 28th is going to be the best GTG yet.
We have a few things up our sleeve for that One ;-)

Well so far my plan is to be there but I'll have to get permission from my daughters mother  or as some would say DA'WIFE-Z'BOSS-THE BALLBREAKER, oh there is a few more but we get the drift.

I am out, not going to plan this on short notice and decided to do some work on my toyota truck before the weather gets to cold to paint.

Hey fellas,

I don't intend to hijack your thread here. I saw some references in your messages regarding RC CAR KINGS. I had to be in the Cities this morning anyway, so I made a side trip. SWEET!!!!! These guys are fantastic!! Great prices, very helpful. I came in window shopping and left with over 300.00 in a shopping bag.

Pics to come soon.

the tuber is starting to come together. i am going to go get all the hardware i need soon, and then i just have to wait for the envelope with my link mounts to arrive from minneapolis from troy. i have figured out what i need and how to assemble it. i have a good place to test it now because i met some neighbors at a housewarming party for a family who just moved in and i showed off the crawler and they said i could come over to their house sometime to crawl because they have alot of rock landscaping.

Welcome to both Glen and Matt. Even though our year is nearing it's end, you are both more than welcome to come out and hang with us.

See you on the rocks.

now I have never been to a meet but if I cant have my truck done I'd like to show up just to watch what is going on in MN RC so i know how good my truck has to be. I never crawled a sanction event, Just usually on my own w/ a couple buddies. So, I'd like to stop out and check everything out!

You're welcome to come check things out "thumbsup"
Test drive a few rigs, and see what you think.
Most of us are friendly enough that we'll let others drive our trucks to check them out.

Everyone will tell you...I usually show up with an extra truck or 2. Come on out. We have a great group."thumbsup"

he will make you clean if if you get it dirty though.:-P

i got the gopher primered today. i am still waiting for my link mounts to arrive. i am waiting for my dad to finally get to hobbytown in brooklyn park because he works down there because i need jato rod ends. cole82 messed up one of the front upper carbon fiber links so i have to make my own set with threaded rod and metal tubing. i also will be tapping the front shock mounting screw holes at school tomorrow because they have taps i can use there. i also have to get some springs for inside the shocks for droop. and i hope to have it together or have it ready for assembly by midnight friday because that is when i leave to go to my aunts up north. its a 4 hour drive. she wanted to come to a comp but i forgot to call her. maybe next year. if i dont get it built in the next 2 days i will try to have the supplies to build it there.

Hello everyone, some of you remember me as CHB. I hit a few of the roc crawling comps in Taylor Fall this year. I was the one with the tube frame in the super class. I think I was the only one with a tube frame in the super class. Anyways, I forgot my password and my registered email changed so I had to get a new screen name. I’m living in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Duluth now so if anyone is from Duluth let me know and maybe we can get together. I was out of the RC scene for a while because of my relocation and everything but like to start crawling again.

construction of the gopher is halted. i broke a tap off in the front hole for the shock mount screw. i was hand tapping the hole and i managed to snap it. i cant find the right size of carbide bit to drill it out. it has to be carbide or stronger because it is a carbide tap. my dad said everything should be fine, he said when he is less busy at work he will use his EDM machine to burn the tap out with electricity. this thing is very percise so i have no worries about damaging the chassis. i may not have it ready for the final comp, but possibly the howl crawl.
