49 people shot this weekend

Some people need to be shot. No guns
Some people need to be stabed. No knifes
Some people need to be beat with a stick. No sticks

Rope-a-dope their asses. There is not a more gentlemanly way to settle things than a quick bout of fisticuffs.

A LOT of people here dont even hide the fact they carry. Saw an easliy mid-70's+ man coming out Lowes the other day with a .40 on his side.

Im all for gun rights, if you want them have them (we have a few). It just saddens me to see society so bad off that so many feel like they need to have one on them all of the time.

Laws on guns are just like any other form of prohibition, they dont work.

once it gets hot enough here to where people without a/c have to go outside, people get shot... but it is usually in the places of the city you just dont want to be at, ever. unless you wanna get shot.

i'm tired of chicago... the city and most the people in it are just not for me. i have a damn good job here, but everything else... meh. i dont care about a bar on every corner or being able to eat gyros whenever i want. give me the walmart on the edge of town and an applebees and i'll be happy. maybe a sonic... ;-)

i moved up here 13 years ago for a job that i couldnt turn down, and i'm still here. 'cept now i got a bigger paycheck and alot more stuff to pack if and when i decide to split.

i miss colorado more and more. palmer lake, deckers, rampart, castlewood canyon, etc. were all closer to me than the closest crappy orv park i can get to here which is a good 2 hour drive away. it was nothing on a saturday to say 'hey lets go wheelin' and be on a trail 30 minutes later.

Boy Scouts motto: Be prepared

I carry a gun everyday not because I feel like I have to, I just like to be prepared. Its very simple, if you don't want to exercise your right to carry a gun, don't. I bet most of you who do not like people to carry guns, carry cell phones. What's the difference? You carry a cell phone so you can make a phone call if you need to. If you don't need to make a phone call it simply stays in your pocket. I carry a gun just in case a situation arises, if nothing happens, it just stays holstered. I'm not trying to go out and save the world. But you can be sure that neither my wife or I will be a victim because we were not prepared for a violent confrontation.

There is no reasonable argument that can be made against legal gun ownership.

On a side note, my guns have never helped cause a car wreck, or annoyed anyone watching a movie or trying to enjoy a quiet dinner. My guns have never let kids send naked pictures to each other. My guns aren't on a monthly contract. My guns could, someday, save your life. Your cell phone will never save my life. If you think I shouldn't carry a gun, I think you shouldn't carry a cell phone.

Liberalism: Ideas so good, they have to be mandatory.

Comparing a cell to a gun is stupid. Youd have to have a bag phone or an old brick phone in order to kill someone, and those arent capable of operating on networks anymore. The capacity to kill something v.s. making a call for help? Doesnt sound llike a fair compairison to me.

See above.

IDK, IDK however that Im not someone that needs a gun in a vehicle. I know that after driving for my new jobfrom VA to DC/Maryland. Who knows how many flat tires Id have caused if Id have had a pistol?

If you wanna carry a gun to feel secure go on and do it. I have no problem with that. Just remember you cant prevent everything.

If the zombie apocalipse shows up on my doorstep Ill be ready. As for getting blindsided/shot in the back on the street, I aint scared. A guns not going to do anything in that situation anyway.

As usual, wrong AGAIN! I think they should legalize drugs and tax the shit out of the sale of them.

That way the ass wipes in the guvmint won't need as much of my hard earned money.

Hey! We agree!

How 'bout them apples. ;-)

IDK, I think the ban on killing another person is a pretty good one. No it doesnt work 100% but that doesnt mean its stupid imo.

Are you hinting at full on anarchy?

Negative.

If the only thing stopping you from killing another human being is a law against it... then you've got bigger problems.

and no Im not advocating anarchy.

So you assume everyone follows this way of thinking? What if a killing were to happen under these circumstances? What would be the measure by which it was calculated just or not?

Well thats nice to know.8):lmao:"thumbsup":flipoff:;-):mrgreen::ror:

Texting and driving it kills people.. and last I checked most of the time its a cell phone you use to text.. I think the comparison is pretty logical when you look at it from a moron using the item..

A moron texting while driving 80 can kill someone..

A moron/criminal with a gun can kill someone..

Seems like banning morons makes the most sense.. "thumbsup"

The quote you used from my post was supposed to be mildly amusing/sarcastic while still making a point.

Defending ones self or intending to hurt something with a gun isnt the same as an accident, which is what your comparison is. And for all intensive purpose the car would be what killed the person for lack of attention from the driver. Not quite the same as shooting someone with any kind of intent imo.

And although your proposed ban sounds awsome the very people who are in charge of enacting a ban such as yours are some of the same people it would affect. Doesnt sound very promising.:ror:
