2016 MNRCRC Schedule Planning

Boom site is fun to bash around but you need to bring a sharp knife to cut off all the dang fishing line you'll have wrapped around the axles.

Saw a place that was listed as a MNRCRC place in Rochester called Quarry Hill Park. Was that a decent G6 type of location? Or is this also possibly also to close to Byron. Or maybe looking towards Mankato for a possible location?

Quarry Hill might be an okay place to have an event. I can find out any information you want about it. I have never brought my trucks there but I have been there several times, and used to mountain bike there back when they let you do that. Let me know if there is anything I can do, it would be fun to have an event here in Rochester.

Awesome response Boop.
There's too many fawkers saying no without helpful replies these days.

We have done quarry hill before, and it was a lot of fun. We parked on the west side near the baseball fields and entered by the cemetery. There should be a thread or two about it from a few years ago."thumbsup"

I've updated the proposed schedule with the requested location changes in Orange. Also, I have sent the schedule for the Taylors Falls events to the park ranger for his blessing since those seem to be set.

The dates are set. But I noticed that we haven't decided on which locations in Duluth to use. We have 5 sites that we have used for comps previously:

Brighton Beach-Duluth, MN

Break Wall-Duluth, MN

Stoney Point-Duluth, MN

Enger Tower-Duluth, MN

Thompson Dam-Carlton, MN

The above links will show you a satellite map. If you want to see some comp pics, just search the MN section here for each of the names. Plenty of pics to look at.

I'll start it off by suggesting Break Wall and Enger Tower. Thoughts?
