2014 RC4WD East Coast Scale Challenge (August 22-24)

I had another great time at this event again this year I'm glad we decided to come the whole weekend this time. Thank you John for giving us the chance to go by putting on this event, thanks to all the people that donated their time to be a marshall or judge. Thanks to all the sponsors and vendors this year, I came away with some goodies to help me rebuild for next year. Thanks to Ryan and the rc addict crew for not getting to pissed at me for walking my lab past them every twenty minutes causing a dog frenzy. Thanks to Rose Point for providing an awesome place for a comp and my family to camp I can see my inlaws coming back there just to do some camping. I also learned that hands down chino has the best damn smelling bug spray there is, lol.

Just want to say Thanks John for another great event! Thank you to all the marshalls, judges, sponsors, and everyone at Rose Point.I cant wait till next year, maybe I'll actuall finish a course next year too.And yes Chino's bug spray smells better than my wifes' perfume. And DON'T tell her I said that and YOU know how you are!

Glad you approve of the "island musk".

It kept the skeeters away but now I know why you guys kept hanging around! :ror:"thumbsup"

That and I was hoping some of your driving prowess would rub off on me. Lol. It was definitely a pleasure and honor to meet you. And your island musk. Lol

Well got the list of bills from The Alternative Food Truck and it looks like some of the judges decided to feed their family or a small country.

Next year, I guess I need to put a value on them. My fault.

We were told $5 limit and totally agreed with that. Sorry about that and also thank you for doing it.

That was Jasons dumb dog that kept barking. Mine was the little white one trying to eat every RC he saw. Haha.

Damnit John! I wanted that! :ror:

Great event guys! I know the hassles and hiccups that come with running events of this scale and it is no easy task. Even with that this event was absolutely fantastic and I am really looking forward to all next year has in store.

I can't say it enough, I commend you John for a job well done. "thumbsup"

Fine!!! I'll give you a dollar if it makes you happy!!!!!

But... It's suppose to be a dollar seven. :lmao:

Hahaha!!! All kidding aside John, once the sticker shock subsides I'd take a closer look at the bill the food truck handed you. If the exchange I witnessed Turtle go through is any indication math isn't their strong suit.

What an awesome weekend! I had soo much fun, (maybe too much fun at one point...) that I'm almost mad I missed the 1st ECSC last year. Everybody I met seemed to be having such a great time. You've put together a top notch event John and everybody, thank you so much. Is it August 2015 yet??

One thing I really enjoyed was the amount of people that approached me and my wraith on Sunday. Tons of people loved that a stock-ish wraith like theirs was in the TTC and they really seemed to be rooting for me. Thank goodness for hobby express vending there, without them I would have been screwed when I broke on course 3 and wouldn't have even made TTC.

I've always wondered what was in the top performing trucks at events like these and this is the first time I've been in the position to share, so here it is.

Mamba max pro/bec, roc412 2300kv, steel tranny gears.
MIP driveshafts, Axial high speed gears (not overdriven) Locked UP F.I. spools.
Hitec 7950th servo
Vanquish Ti straight lower links/bent upers
RC4WD warn winch powered by a sidewinder micro
Rear swaybar, Axial aluminum shocks
R35 ripsaws w/ Crawlerinnovations foams

Keep it light and simple is really the only thing different about it than your average C3 rig. (all plastic axles, no 4ws or dig, etc.)

Id love to know some more about the other TTC rigs. Like what was BadBKO sporting under that Ford truck body that gave him the power to full pull the pulling sled?

THanks again to everybody including my MD/VA fellas. They were a HUGE help getting my last minute wraith together.

Cant say enough about this weekend. Shout out to the ECSC crew, event sponsors, Rose Point Park, food truck, camping bro's and all my sponsors listed in my sig!

Well worth the effort to attend this event!

Also a big thanks need to go out to the people that was involved in the set-up/teardown of the courses, judges and marshalls, a lot of time and pain (ask jester about the bee stings) goes into planning and designing courses ect thanks Kunas
