2012 Judges Invites & Pool

Judges are too important to the success of RC Crawling to be ignored.

I am bringing back Judges getting automatic invites.

Just Zack won 3rd National Championship in Moab, UT on a Judges Invite, so the is historical precedence that Judges Invitees can be good enough to win.



Judges will have several options to choose form.

1) Judges without Invites can choose NOT to compete, and receive compensation equivalent to the class entry fee.

2) Judges without Invites can choose to compete, but they will not receive compensation.

3) Judges with Invites can choose to compete, and receive compensation equivalent to the class entry fee.

4) Judges with Invites can choose to compete, and not receive compensation and instead roll over their invite to next years Nationals.

I'm down for judging LCQ, 2.2, 1.9, or Super if you need the help Fish.

I was planning on coming up to compete in LCQ anyway, so I may as well make myself useful.

The invite only goes out to the class you judge meaning if you want an judges invite for 2.2 Pro Comp then you have to judge that class, and in case you have not figured it out the invites for the judges are going to come out of the pool of invites that the LCQ uses. At this point probably a better strategy to be an awesome Judge then count on LCQ invites ;-)

I'm in for judging 2.2 for certain then. I don't think I could do 1.9 and Super at the same time, they generally run together. So I'll say 1.9 too if you need it, since we don't run Super down here, I just happen to have one, unless it is running at the same time as 2.2 also.

Unless I'm still not getting it and I have to get an LCQ invite before I can volunteer to judge?

Regardless I plan on being there as a little vacation from away from South Florida, competitor, judge, or not. So if you can use the hand, put me in coach "thumbsup"

LCQ is basically a place for UNUSED Invites to get distributed, and with Judges now being able to claims those UNUSED spots its highly likely there won't be any left for LCQ.

Historically 50% of the drivers do not make it through the LCQ, but this plan 100% of the Judges make through.

Does this mean I get a chance to earn an invite even tho I have only judged once at Nationals last year?

I am always open to continue to learn the trade and get more enlightened!

Like the idea of continuing to participate at USRCCA events!

It will be ran, and invites will be distributed the same way 2.2 Pro is distributed. After that.....Judges, Sponsors, and then open registration.
