2010 HPI Racing/HB RCCrawler Nationals!

So, I'm lookin for some opinions here.

We have and option to get a flight out at 6:30 pm on sunday from Tulsa. You guys think thats a bad idea or should we wait till monday morning to fly out. I know it's impossible to garantee the itinerary will stick to the time line but it says comp breakdown at 1:00pm...We would have to leave the comp site at 4:00pm to head to the airport. Think we'll be alright???

It depends on drive time from Disney to Tulsa...If your gonna be pushing it and rushing, I would just wait until Monday so your in no hurry. This will also give you more time to play around and talk to guys, relax, etc. "thumbsup"

If everything goes PERFECT you will be fine.

What you have to ask your self is how many times in your life have things gone that way:shock:

The only official thing going on on sunday is 3 finals courses. 1 for each class, 5 guys per course.

I see no problem with us being done by noon, 4pm would be a no brainer.

The plan is to be officially done with the event by noon, then spend the rest of the day hanging out with friends, bashing scalers, and I want to get some video footage with a bunch of the top drivers.

I personally would stick around and fly out monday morning, but I know that costs you an extra night in the hotel and another day off work, that is part of the reason I set the event up like I did, for those people that just can't afford to take an extra day from work, they now have an extra half day of travel time.

Ok so as dumb as this sounds. I have tried calling hogans park or shop many times. The park number listed on page 1 of this thread is disconnected. And the shop number listed no one ever answers.

This being my first year going do I need to reserve a camping spot? If so how do I if no one answers a phone. Anyone that has actual info that can help me out would be great. No I did not read all 7 pages! So please don't flame me.

The shop number should be good, thats the one I talk to Russ with all the time. I think you would be fine without reserving a spot.

Try emailing him at Russ@hogansoffroad.com :ror:

Still crossing my fingers on being able to go and run. With school and strict parents, its going to be tough. Whats also going to be tough is building a super or a 1.9

I'll be driving down and doing the camping thing I think, gotta see what the team orders are, but that's the plan for now. Anybody coming outta the greater Chi-Town area that is going is welcome to ride along, all you gotta do is pitch in for gas!!

I'll be rolling the Wheelin Benz...LOL  MAn if this things' suspension was any more rigid it'd be an import tuner!! Check out the flex!! :lmao:

To any that have been to Oklahoma in September, what is the weather like? I want to make sure I pack appropriate clothing. I did some google searching that said it rains a lot and temps can be from the high 60's to the 90's, does that seem accurate?

Hot and humid during the day with pretty decent nights. Shorts and t-shirts during the day. Light jacket and pants at night, if for nothing else than keeping the mosquitos off your arms and legs.
