2010 HPI Racing/HB RCCrawler Nationals!

Qualifying for the sake of qualifying a class that won't sell out seems kind of silly, and it won't bring more people to the event.

I hear ya Fish, those are all good points. I just feel its silly to have the selling out of the class be the reason behind having to qualify for that class or not. At any National level competition you have to earn your way there by winning at a state or regional level. 2.2 is this way, when the others aren't it makes them seem or be less legitimate IMO.

Plus LCQ is just awesome. The excitement of having an underdog LCQ and then place well in the big show is too cool. "thumbsup"

If it helps you sleep, the Super Nats are for the top 5 drivers, everything else is a LCQ.

When you say top 5 drivers are you refering to the top 5 2.2 drivers?

I am saying that there will likely be a top 5 Super Finals. If you think of the Super event leading up to that final as the LCQ, then everyone is happy.

Or just ignore what I am saying, Fish already said what needs to be said.

I wouldnt have asked if I was going to ignore you.
I just didnt understand what you said. Im a newb and i miss certain things.
Im happy. I just want to Comp my Super at Nats.
Thanks.

Holiday Inn in Vinita is the host hotel which is offering discounts for us.

Really?, it was only up a few posts. Most everyone will be at either Hogan's campground or the Holiday Inn in Vinita.

The Vinita is booked out from what I have been told.

Call the local number not the internet or the 800# The rooms are blocked off, and not in the central system any more.

How many do they let into the LCQ and do we need to sigh up early ?

I am guessing 50-100 drivers

All the information about submitting qualifying invites and LCQ entries should be post by Jason later this week

We are proud to announce that we will be holding the event this year in beautiful Disney, OK at Hogans Offroad park. The event will run from September 9th through September 12th. Please read the itinerary before you plan your trip depending which classes you are running you may not need to be present for all those days.

We are very honored to announce that Brian Parker (drivnmf) of RECON will be the MC and course designer for the weekend. Brian is very well known across the nation for laying down some of the most challenging and fun courses in the industry and his off course antics should make him a great MC for the event.

This years competition is going to be bigger and better than it has ever been, you are not going to want to miss out. Even if you are not competing Disney, OK is going to be the place to be September 9th-12th. If somehow you cannot make the event, have no fear as RCC will be there live bringing the best online coverage right into your homes.

Itinerary:

September 9th

0800 Tech for the 2010 LCQ (last chance qualifier)
0830 2010 LCQ begins.

Note: The LCQ is for all drivers that did not qualify by any other means. We will take at least the top 15 drivers from the LCQ and bump them into Saturdays 2.2 competition. This number will can go up depending on how many clubs fill their spots, but it will not go down, top 15 is a guarantee. The LCQ will have a reduced entry fee, if you qualify for the main event that entry will be applied to your entry for the main event the remainder of which will be due on Saturday morning at tech.

September 10th

0800 Tech begins for the 1.9 and Super classes
0830 1.9 and super competition begins

September 11th

0800 Tech begins for the 2.2 Competition class.
0830 2.2 Competition begins

September 12th

0830 Tech for all finals course participants
0900 1.9 Finals course begins
1000 Supers final course begins
1100 2.2 Finals course begins
1200 Awards Ceremony
100 Event teardown and scaler bash.

Note: each day if you have not checked in/teched by 9am you will receive a 50 on course #1, every hour after that you will receive a 50 on each course until you check in. All drivers need to be on time each day.

What day is the LCQ? Is there a rough itinerary posted yet?

First post newbie!! :flipoff:
