I didn't think so, I like the 16fps, it's like slo-motion, but smoother
it's 60 frames per second, not 16fps.

try using the movie viewer tool
and slowing it down to .25 speed
that will make it even slower...
and should still be decent viewing.

^ Especially from 17:30 to the end...
looks cool bouncing along in super slow !

I like how the body/chassis moves in the rocks...
The throttle, braking and stalls look nearly real at 60fps.
the action is very similar to my 1:1 rig's movement
in similar terrain.

I just need find a decent tripod
that holds this phone.

Or should I be saying...
I just need to pony for one.

here it is again...
'cause looking back is a pita

https://youtu.be/SgksQ8h2o5Q

^ using the youtube tools...
it can be slowed down to 0.25
Doing so will net more detail
on the films final segment. ( 17:30 )

thanks Mike.
I'll keep an watchful eye open for that

are you sure that you don't want some help
with your monetary expense ?

PP makes that easy ;-)

I'm positive. After looking at the pieces again, I'm thinking use the thinner material to back the thicker material, I just hope it's thick enough. But there's 4pc of each thickness, 12 inches long, so at 8.25 inch for each, you have enough of the thicker one to do a back and a front. Use the thinner one for making electrical contacts.

Mike F.

yeah I'll likely follow your advice
for utilizing the thinner backing plate(s).

Guess I'll know for sure when they arrive.

...thanks again

I'll wish for you...

a blessed Christmas Day and a wonderful New Year !!

so I widened the wheel offset some
by utilizing the Axial optional longer plastic hex hubs.

Now the tires extend slightly beyond the slider(s).
And that was my goal.

I think it looks more appropriate for a TJ with flares removed
and the wider stance increases it's stability.

before... ( or look back ^ )

Re: 1/6 Wraith/Nylint TJ bodied Jeep + 1/6 atv quad

Nice truck! I built one too, but I used redcat 1/8 scale moa axles, and have twin Dewalt 19v drill motors running it... I'm sure you can pick it out in the group!

Was gonna take muh TJ out somewheres
this Christmas day...

...but yesterday...
when doing some radio adjustments... fried my D772

was my fault
trying to adjust the steering throw, and going too far (max)
and likely caused some serious bind and high amp draw
a little more then the servo could handle I'll guess.

Servo didn't smoke at all...
got really hot tho'
but it definitely smells burnt.

...oops ~oh well, was cheap~

But the D772's have done well for me otherwise.
so I ordered two more, but have to wait for them
the other servo's I have on hand
aren't worth the time spent installing them.

Guess this is a good time
to upgrade the steering plate/mounts to something more solid.

maybe this ?

anyone know of a similar item for less coin ?
I want the alloy servo mount(s)
that utilize two holes when mounting to the plate.
